Think about it logically we won the league last year by a mile with the same refs and VAR. I thought today we were by far the better team for over an hour we scored a clever goal and it looked like we could score more. We gave away a stupid free kick when Thiago got himself in a poor position along side TAA and really didn’t give the ref an alternative but to blow. I honestly believe they were offside for the goal but a decision that close can go either way unfortunately those decisions have gone against us this season. Allison then gave away the second and the wheels fell off. A bad mistake but I thought up until then and afterwards he had a really good game. Unfortunately a keeper makes a mistake and it usually costs a goal. To call for him to be dropped is crazy and Klopp would never do that. We need a bit of luck like we had last season to give the lads a confidence boost. Personally I’ll be glad to see the end of the the season and for things to get back to normal as can be.
And a quite a few yellows and we get denied the winner at the end by VAR guaranteed
It’s a massive sickener but next season, with a little luck on our side, we will be back in it. COME ON YOU REDS!!!
was at work the day, so didnt see the game,
but i did follow what was happening via here, cheer lads and lasses!
saw a clip of our goal, nice skill by Bobby, and a good finish by Mo.
but as soon a Leicester scored, i just knew we would lose,
as we are just so fragile and defeatist nowadays.
so I am not surprised, or angered, its becoming the norm nowadays
On the apparently inept referees, VAR, and conspiracy or what whatever else is costing us points,
infact everything apart form very poor performances
IMO we are on dangerous grounds with this excuses
How long do we lay the blame on these things and make out that these are the reasons for our defeats?
When the truth is, some of our players are just not trying hard enough,
or are badly out of form and need dropped, or in some cases good enough.
some players in this team need to have a good look at themselves.
Is there a way the computer draws the lines instead of the bias twats?
Just think …when all our injured players are back…and next season when crowds are back…its RETURN OF THE CHAMPIONS!!!
No, playing him the whole 90 minutes, you shoul have gathered that from what I said before. I have no idea about his future however he looks slower than Phillips and isn’t as good.
Is there a way they could have a graph type system above the pitch, end to end and corner to corner, and a ‘drone’ type system to look down on the pitch, (sorry not very explained technically) to check offsides
Except we won’t be champions.
True…but you know what I mean…true champs!! Not a shitty or mancs
In a way I’m glad I can work from home during this. Wouldn’t want to relive any of this over a coffee on a Monday.
Apart from injuries, VAR …for me, the following really hurts:
-
The worse thing for me, is the continuous loss of winning mentality . The ability of a champion team, to be able to grind out wins , even when your days are bad. The ability to not give up till the final whistle, we have lost that and not only this, we seem to have lost our fear factor. I am afraid, if we drop out of top 4, forget a rebuild, we may have to sell a few top players and it may take years to come back and challenge again.

Apart from that, performance of some of the players this season has been atrocious. Even the attitude has not been right and recently, even Trent admitted in an (interview)["It's been a tough season" | Alexander-Arnold opens up on Liverpool's season so far - YouTube], that we just expected to turn up against teams and will win, without putting the hard yards , this season.
Forget the fact that we don’t have quality on the bench. For almost 2 months, we are struggling with the quality of our first team. The full backs have been disastrous.
Also, These experiments with midfielders playing at CB need to end now. We have pretty much nothing to lose !! Feels like one of the key reasons why Ali has looked nervous, is the constant chopping and changing at the CB position.
Felt for Jurgen today, when the Boss had to concede the title out in the open today. Can’t remember a champion team doing this badly (apart from leicester may be), and the manager has to suffer. The players have let the manager and the fans down sadly. The hunger, desire just isn’t there at the moment. I fear for the Champions league game, Leipzig are flying and challenging Bayern for the title .
Yeah , I know what you mean mate.
The killer for me is that we don’t get to play in front of our own fans as champions , and that the trophy won’t get paraded through the city.
Mourinho had one fall from grace after being Champions.
Saying that no other team has had this bad an injury list if I’m honest, I think he has to put Phillips in with Kabak or Davies from now on.
Hopefully Fabinho won’t be long and if he is still unsure of Phillips, Davies or Kabak he can move One of Hendo or Fabinho back into midfield and use the other one one defence, I would expect that was his plan before the Fabinho injury this week.
We could do it retrospective…!!!
This is so heart breaking. Boss looks absolutely broken.
someone needs to do a bit of retrospective of our medical team. What’s really going on there ?
Can’t remember if there has been a change in the staff this summer. It just sounds insane with the number of injuries now.
As far as the CB situation goes, the only reason I feel to field the new signings is that there is a window to try proper CBs at the back, we have been shit either way. Might as well give the boys a chance and move Fab and Hendo both back in the middle. We have lost the protection of Fab in the midfield. We are far too cautious to change Fab/Hendo from the back , but keeping them there isn’t helping the team anymore
He looks like he is almost in tears, ffs the man has had to go through so much this season.
It breaks my heart watching this, in top of that, his personal family tragedy in the midst of all this. He has given absolutely everything for our club physically and mentally and he has delivered what we wanted.
Injuries are just bad luck for us. We didn’t expect Virgil to be out the whole season.
Gutted for him. Hope he can stay mindful of the joy he has brought to millions of people
