Post Match: Leicester v Liverpool (EPL 13/2/21 12.30pm)

I hope so, the lads can play with less burden on their shoulders. I have all the fingers and toes crossed that the injured players come back soon.

Fuck me do you even read these threads.

Numerous people go on about referees, biased, corrupt.

I am arguing the opposite.

We are just poor.

Regardless of what you think of VAR (and I hate it and wish they would do away with it) but as soon as those lines come out then that decision today is correct (with the rules the way they are now).

Close yes… did it look offside yes.

Those lines are there to give a definitive answer. I hate them but they came out and showed (somehow) they were onside.

Only a little bit onside, but you are either on or off.

Can we still be friends???

The trouble with VAR is its in consistency on similar decisions. If it was just shite in a calls every close offside was offside fair enough. But its the Mane or Bamford calls been off to today’s been on.

Fucking cunts

I read the threads.
I am not sure you even understand the argument to be honest.

Once more, no one is saying we are not poor.
Some of us are saying that major decisions have cost us this season.
We were winning today until yet another screamingly biased decision changes the game.

People who argue this point are easily dismissed as being cranks or tin foil hat wearers etc, but the reality is there for all to see.

We are in a shit vein of form? Agree 100%

But we are not being treated in an even manner by officials. That is now becoming increasingly obvious.

We are shit… But its the injuries that have us shit. Its a domino effect on the team…

You can survive 6 weeks with a makeshift team but not a whole season.

But give us Fabinho and Jota back. And we win today… And we probably have another 9 points more to our overall tally on the season.

You spend too much time baiting, and I stupidly responded.
Its a footy forum and I am passionate about the club, I hate seeing the team losing, and I hate biased decisions costing us.

Again, I responded to your baiting.
I wasn’t head boy in school, but you remind me of someone there…

We’d be at least six points better off but for referees.

The dropped points at Brighton for a penalty given that was no different to the one not given on Salah today.

The offside at Everton that was more onside than the one allowed for Leicester today.

Many reasons, but corrupt refereeing at the core of them.

The season started to go south with the draws away in the PL, nearly all of which were due to officials.

There is no point playing in this league anymore. I’m so tired of shite / bent officials.

Time for an European super league and f*ck what’s left behind.

Yeah, that’s not how perspective works.

Just watched the game and I do not understand how VAR works on offside decisions, they seem to be drawing the lines in the wrong place, It seemed they got the lines mixed up the one supposedly for Liverpool was nowhere near where the foot was it was as though the lines were mixed up.

On our performance, Hendo Motm, I’ve been a supporter of Thiago but today he was woeful, couldn’t pass wind, on the freekick Penalty, Trent needs to show him down the line as all Barnes wants to do is cut in on his right. Overall we played well but once their 1st was given our defence went walkabout. Also Klopps subs were wrong again and what has Phillips done wrong, he looks for me better than Kabak

Thanks for showing that I just posted at the same time how they seem to be drawing the lines in the wrong place.

No point in this mate, those twats will draw the lines at their will…simply to screw us up.

They draw the lines exactly where they want to, depending what outcome they want. If they want it to look onside, they’ll draw the lines accordingly and they’ll do the same if they want it to look offside. Corrupt.

It was one single post that I stand over and you keep trolling me about, including starting again in a new thread. Blocked

That’s never onside. Firmino’s foot is there but that is clearly his heel and they have drawn then line away from it. As @Mascot says, Bobby’s foot will need to have been dislocated from his leg in order to play him on. At best his foot is side on. Fuck me.

I agree but in this instance it appears to me as if he’s picked an arbitrary point rather than being sure that this is the “correct” point to be choosing. I just feel let down again by it and you’re right that the lack of transparency or clarity / leadership from the on field referee just undermines ever aspect of it.
