If everyone else wins their games in hand, we sitting 9th after 24 games played.
Scary…
Exactly the point I’ve been trying to make. Our players are petrified as they know they’ll be adjudicated against for everything. Just listen to Jürgen’s post-match interviews, FFS. He knows the score.
If people honestly can’t see how bent officiating has affected us this season, I really don’t get it.
I think ex players should run VAR.
All var is doing is giving shit refs a chance to make the same shit decisions they would’ve made without VAR.
On the penalty decision. The tackle is miles outside the box. You could see it in real time. Anthony Taylor desperately wants to give it, but VAR can’t. Had VAR had any chance they would have.
Curtis wasn’t happy coming off, and I can understand why. He was excellent again.
You’re doing way too much. You could have made the same point in one sentence. But I applaud the flowery and creative writing effort nonetheless and I hope it was cathartic and made you feel better after hitting the reply button. Enjoyable read that. And yes, I’m glad you agree with me that it was a lucky goal.
Fundamentally, I’m still absolutely over the moon about last season. This one is blown to fuck for reasons. Alisson properly going full Lovren, more injuries than A&E next to a ski slope and a manager looking increasingly perplexed. Fuck me last season was ace.
Hell of a goal for us though, particularly as we currently have less midfield that defence. Ox, sorry man, you’re done I think
Now is not the time (with hot heads) to discuss the officials.
What do you expect for a panic €1m panic loan.
He’s used to conceding goals as he saw 40+ Fly past him so far this season.
But I wouldn’t blame him for 2nd. His position isn’t great but no idea what the keeper was doing
The keeper is doing what the keeper always does. Kabak should leave it to him instead of getting in his way.
It’s not ragging on him. He doesn’t know the system and he’s not used to playing with Ali.
But there is no doubt that if he leaves it to Ali, it ends up in the stands.
And yes, I’m glad you agree with me that it was a lucky goal.
There was nothing about that goal that was lucky. It was wondrous, and now tragically forgotten.
I don’t know what’s going to happen we need top 4. We can’t do Europa league especially with their fixture list.
Ali needs to sort himself out. Head is totally gone. Blaming him for that 2nd over Kabak. Kabak had his eyes on the ball like he should and Ali still came flying out. Get thats his job but he has to consider how far he ran compared to Kabak who was back peddling. Kabak had more right to get that than Ali. Would not bother me to see Kelleher get brought in. Looks way more comfortable lately than Ali on the ball.
Backline still looks shaky. I thought Kabak was decent. Dropped too early loads of times but that’s inexperience with our system.
Hendo was good but need him in the midfield.
Robbo did fine as did Trent but I’d like to see Tmikas come in as Robbo looks tired.
Thiago. Personally I haven’t been overly impressed this season. Not the best season from everyone obviously but for such high expectations I expected more than a foul merchant at times.
Attack still looks off. Great goal
dont get me wrong but they seem to still be on different wavelengths.
Klopps subs are shockingly bad. Takes of our best player at times in Curtis 2 times in recent games and we turn to shite once he comes off. Jürgen please stop doing that. Ox is done , he won’t help. Just leave him on the bench. Shaq is always 20 minutes too late arriving on the pitch. He should be the first sub.
Only way we get top 4 is win the CL
A fair few ex players of ours and independents said Klopps rant after Palace could have a bad reaction from the team.
Hindsight bias. Also they’re attributing one cause as the reason, when in reality it’s a plethora of reasons - injuries being the number one, then there are individual errors, some playing too many minutes, etc.
Anyone else notice how Darren Fletcher, commentator, slapped McManaman down the moment he questioned the non penalty on Salah, but then went on to question in some detail the non awarding of a penalty to Leicester for the incident that led to their offside goal.
Go figure.
Now Millie’s on a sick note…ffs.
This was said at the time not now.
This is what happens when management and ownership are too fucking cheap to realize that not properly funding the team in the transfer window after winning the league can come back to fuck you in the ass.
They are lucky that there are no fans in the stands, negligent fucks.
Kabak is off the pace, and that’s to be expected. But why wasn’t he brought in at the beginning of the fucking transfer window, so that we could gradually get him up to speed and fit? Did they actually think that a gimp like Matip could actually play the rest of the season, how fucking cheap are these assholes?
Another thing, I heard rumours that we signed a backup LB named Tsimikas, never seen him, but heard rumours. Is he a real player or just a figment of someone’s imagination? I said before, J. Lewis was the ideal backup to Robertson…his age, experience and all that. We got outbid by Newcastle…Newcastle, and Lewis has gone on to play the entire season for Magpies. I bring this up because the ghost that is TSimikas is nowhere to be found and we are gradually grinding Robertson into the ground.
I say this to say, when you buy cheap you buy twice. Not funding a quality replacement for Lovren means that we are certainly going to play in the Europa League. Not providing adequate replacements mean that your first choice players are overplayed even after you’ve won the league. Lastly, the hubris and arrogance of spouting drivel saying that “you cant find adequate replacements for players of such a standard to act as substitutes or starters in this team” is as big a Trump-esque delusion as Trump won the election. This bile-esque fuckery was continually spouted on forums and repeated like some mass delusion. How’s it looking now…really no replacements could be found…really.
So you would take one of the best goalkeepers in the world out of the team? What do you think at what price should we sell him in the summer then? As he won’t stick around being embarassed like that. And then all Jones’s data you have lying around, how did you hack it from the clubs database, could you maybe post a photo of it so we can all see as well?
I can not be bothered reading other posters stuff at the moment.
Kabak was a mistake!
Allison? Great one minute complete catastrophy the next.
What an awful end to the match!
Thiago, Firmino were shit, Salah pretty much so but AOC WTF useless!
On est maudit, nothing else to say!
If people honestly can’t see how bent officiating has affected us this season, I really don’t get it.
Being a shit ref (and assistant) doesn’t help as well. I’ll give one minor example which encapsulates the standard:
About one minute before we opened the scoring (I think), Kasper runs to the byline to try to keep the ball in play. But the ball goes a yard out for what should be a corner. The assistant is looking strainght at it, and it’s also on his side with nothing hiding his view. The ref also is looking straight at the incident.
They fail to award a corner. Just a small incident, but missing obvious errors.
They are lucky that there are no fans in the stands, negligent fucks.
If you are going to throw shit like this around, then you need to ensure that Klopp is part of your ire as well. He is part of the recruitment and very close to FSG. It’s not credible to say whatever decisions have been made around recruitment have been made without his involvement and approval.
