Post Match: Liverpool v Arsenal (EPL 28/9/20 8pm)

These Arsefam tv videos are essentially Robbie putting some emotionally stunted morons near a camera to make a show of themselves whilst he sits at the back quietly deciding what he’ll spend all his cash on next.

This team just keeps rolling on. A cracking performance. On a personal note, first game watching back in my local, where I was supposed to watch us when the league, but that wasn’t to be. Thankfully they showed that great same dominance they showed all last year. Made it equally as good. Nice to see jota get his goal as well

Maybe after that curry that was all the time he had before it went through!

That felt personal. I’ve been reading between the lines of what our boys (and The Boss) been saying leading up to this match and they’re tired of hearing about Arsenal. They’re tired of hearing about Arsenal and Chelsea, and all the other clubs the media have appointed as “title contenders” to knock us off our perch. That performance was so comprehensive, so dominant, such a smothering, it felt personal like our boys were out to prove a very specific point tonight. Arsenal were NEVER in this match, in any phase. Ever. Even up 1-0 they were never in this. That was an old fashioned ass kicking in every phase of the match.

One other thing, I’m trying not to be too sensitive about the things said about our boys, but we’ve now reached a point where the media is critiquing how we win. It’s 100% horse shit. A win is a win is a win. Pictures aren’t drawn in the box scores to illustrate how “stylish” the win is or is not. 3 points is 3 points. We keep quietly going about our business, letting the media and other managers and other players run their mouths, and we keep knocking off the proclaimed “next up” clubs, and it’s pissing the world off. Now we are even being picked apart and critiqued even in a win.

Tonight was a statement win, and I couldn’t be more proud of our boys. Mane is just absolutely next level. We’ve run out of superlatives to properly describe him. Top 2 or 3 in all of world football and it’s not even close. Completely unplayable.

A very good performance overall, could have looked worse for Arsenal than it did.
Easy to forgive Robbo, but he did atone.
Good debut from Jota, the goal on debut will make him a happy camper!
With Hendo and Thiago back we are going to look positively awesome.

Just watched the highlights. We seemed all over them from the off. Could have scored six. Lacazette is an awesome finisher when he’s put through by one of our guys, not so much when it’s by one of his. What a finish by Jota to open his account. Tip of the cap to him. Only downside is we seemed a bit vulnerable to the through ball, at least during the 13 minutes I could watch. We’re looking good.

Great performance from the mighty Reds! Each player put an almighty shift in and looked like Champions - because we are!!!
Andy put his error to bed when he put us ahead, such a wonderful player is the Scotland captain!
Mane is a beast! His goal puts him on 3 for the season, level with Mo.
Jota scoring on his debut was nice and secured us the 3pts. Nicely taken goal too.
Scoreline flattered Arsenal, but hey, 3pts is what matters!
I shall have a pipe prior to our next match on Thursday!!! Well, I’m about to have one now!!!
Good night all.

YNWA!!!

I really liked Gomez defensively in this match. Unfortunately he was frustrating in posession, Imo he refused to take responsibility soo often he had TAA free out wide yet insisted on passing sideways to VVD. He could have looked to the midfield a lot more as well but the TAA twiddleing his thumbs was really outstanding (I also thought we looked better going down the right than the left with TAA, Naby and Salah). Shame.
Still Gomez is our best partner for VVD so I hope whatever it is holding Gomez back evaporates.

It’s surreal the levels we are at now. The opposition are satisfied (or maybe not) just to ‘be in the game’ and hope they can keep up.

good game all around… massive three points

Good win. The icing on top was seeing Keane nervous, when he was confronted by Klopp. Always knew the hard man persona was an act.

Maybe lack of confidence. He hasn’t been the best in the recent past, which he has received a lot of stick. Also, he is coming back from an injury.

Ah I didnt get it until someone in the comments stated the ref was following the flight of the ball. I think it was Virg who booted it across over his head.

I completely agree. I was expecting to see red. I was going to say the incident to compare to was Markovic in the CL, except watching it back now Markovic had a fresh air swing and still got sent off! But the fact is any striking near the head with a forearm forces a ref to make a decision. If it was the 20th minute and not the 3rd minute I feel he probably would have been sent off.

Another day i go into work with a broad smile just a shame 2 of the 3 arsenal fans working from home, one of the joys of living in North London.

I agree but had Allison not been on song we could have had a problem.

What were arsenal doing mucking about with it in their box. They were by the byline most of the 2nd half. Talk about invite pressure.

Not gonna lie…I want the league, FA Cup and CL treble this year.

Trying to play out from the back, inviting us to press them.

There’s a point where you have to stop following the issues too. Because it’s footnall and you can’t solve every root problem.

Allison ‘saving’ the team can just be put down to ‘better players = more points”

Maybe another keeper doesn’t save that chance, but we don’t have another keeper, we have that one, and the fact that one can and does make those saves, allows us more freedom in other departments.
