Post match: Liverpool v Bournemouth (EPL 15/8/25 8pm)

You could see the improvisation flowing through his mind in slow motion.

Loved Mo’s goal, so alert.

On the goal. I do hate when defenders close down with their arms behind their back, as you cannot react effectively, but great for us, Kerkez does it, wish he wouldn’t

It’s never losing the ball that is the issue, it’s where you lose the ball.

I’m not happy about the formation tactical changes. 424, 422, … doesn’t work not with our players.

Nice to win though the coaching staff have a lot to think about and hopefully change imo.

Noone stood out so my MOTM went to Chiesa who saved us some embarrassment.

Just checking in to say Bournemouth are massively underrated. I’ve been building a database to predict the season for the last couple of months. As things stand Bournemouth project as very much a Champions League position contender despite losing Kerkez, Zabarnyi, Huijsen and Kepa. Petrovic will prove to be a huge upgrade, Truffert is excellent and Senesi/Diakhite is not a massive downgrade from Zabarnyi/Huijsen. I actually have them finishing above Chelsea and coming 4th.

We will probably reflect on this being a very good win.

Wow, I have missed this. All the emotions. Passion. Three points. Brilliant.

On the footballing side we let it get too sloppy. We need to tighten up, and have more control, and I am sure that will come with a bit of time spent with the new boys, as a defensive unit emerges.

We have a lot of firepower, even without 1 or possibly 2 attacking additions. Four different scorers and it was a joy to see.

VAR crap and robbed Ekitike.

Ekitike looks like he is a very good player. Goal, assist, did so many good things.

Salah was peripheral, then a lovely goal at the end, and a very emotional moment in front of the Kop at the end gave me a lump in my throat.

There’s a lot more to come from this Liverpool team. We will get better as we go, too. In the meantime three points is what we needed, and three points is what we got.

Onwards and upwards.

Hopefully the mess they have made out of the attacking situation is sorted.

Nice to hear from you again. I was wondering about Bournemouth actually. They looked poor in America but far better today.

Beware Man Utd.

Love Endo but I hope that’s the last we see of him at RB. CB yes, DM yes, false 9 yes…RB no…RB against someone like Semenyo no no.

Ekitike, eh?

Bloody hell…

Yes, but where did he lose the ball when they scored, Macca gave several away deeper in our half and didn’t result in a goal, it happens, but Szob got lambasted and he had probably the best possession stats of our starting midfielders.

Mo gave it away on the edge of their box and Semenyo ran 75 yards and only had our CB’s to run past.

I’ve missed it too. Fantastic!

Yeah I’m glad he got that goal today in fact it’s good for all 4 of our ā€œforwardsā€ to get one.
