Well, if you donā€™t like the first poll as per Trump, have another one.

For it to get overturned, arenā€™t they basically admitting that VAR is powerless to correct bad decisions? The on-field ref made a howler. The VAR did nothing. The refs association is guaranteed to save face by keeping the ban.

Depends how much football you watch GK, Iā€™ve seen plenty of decisions overturned from red to yellow (mostly correctly it has to be said) on VARā€™s recommendation and thereā€™s many more out there which Iā€™m not aware of.

The whole system from top to bottom is a sham.

In spite of all the inconsistencies and the terrible decisions, we still have a right to appeal & from there the FA will take another look and access.

Thought Szoboszlai was outstanding. McAllister too until his ludicrous red card.

Should have been more comfortable against very average opponents but the usual defensive fuck-ups and attempts to score the perfect goal stopped it being so.

I actually thought the red was down to incompetence more than anything else because heā€™d had a decent game up to that point, thatā€™s what made it hard to understand. As for the cunts on VAR, well, you can make your own minds upā€¦

Stick Doucoure in there and we piss that game.

I agree with that.

Also, stick Endo in there, with Szobo and Mac, and itā€™s an easy win too.

Endo came in to a ten man team and even without any training with the team yet, we looked more compact. Thereā€™s loads more to come from this team. Hopefully we keep picking up points as we grow into the season.

We did look much better when Endo came on. He Wataru-ed down their attacks

Thatā€™s what motd thought if heā€™d stayed upright after getting clipped he would not have been awarded the penalty just like Salah does hence why he never gets penalties

So MOTD is encouraging theatrics?

They canā€™t have it both ways.

Nah just another biased cunt ā€¦

This shite will cost us 3 matches, just like the cunt Webb likes it :face_vomiting:

That was a fantastic win. Player of the Match to Szoboslai.

Horrible red card call on Mac Allister. The Refs are either blind or biased. We also should have gotten a handball call for a penalty last game. All these refereeing mistakes add up and end up changing the point totals of every team.

Why is there ZERO effort to review the efficency of the referees in the premier league? They should get scores the same way that the players do! And there should be consequences for referees who consistently perform POORLY in comparison to their peers!

And VAR isnā€™t the real problem, itā€™s the crap referees who bungle its usage. There should be a special department dedicated to VAR who take control when a VAR call needs to be made because these bozos we have now are just incrediblely bad at it!

And this shite with not overruling the ref on the pitchā€¦just asking for more wrong decisions. Howard Webb was dogshite as a ref. Whatā€™s going to make him a better supervisor!

We need to brace ourselves for more bad decisions coming our way.

We had 26 shots to their 9 and 5 of their shots came after we had a man sent off. It was already an easy win.

Remove the first 3 minutes of the game and its one of the easiest wins weā€™ve had since we beat them 9-0 last season.

Yes, it was an easy win, no two ways about it.

Just commenting on the shout for Doucoure, as we have Endo here. We might sign Doucoure, or similar, but Iā€™m not so sure now, as Endo can do very well for us.

I agree, I also thought he had a good hame until the poor decision giving a red

Finally finished watching the game back. Liverpool were good. Poor start to the game, first ā€˜goalā€™ is miles offside so Iā€™ll give Trent the benefit of the doubt that he was stretching to defend a position he shouldnā€™t have had to.

Second is just an uncharacteristically bad touch.

Once we got level it was one way traffic.

Clear penalty. You canā€™t swing a boot in the penalty area and be surprised when the other player goes down under contact. Thatā€™s a defensive error. Yes its a ā€œdiveā€ but unfortunately you donā€™t get penalties for fouls unless you end up on the floor - so it kind of forces the players hands. Heā€™s kicked in the shins, its a foul.

Red card is very harsh, certainly a foul by Mac Allister but its a yellow card at most. Wonā€™t be overturned though as the referees report will match what happened - his interpretation was just different than everyone elses in the world.

Thought we were good after going down to 10. A few desperation chances for Bournemouth but nothing crazy.

Good performance overall.
