Post match: Liverpool v Brighton (EPL 30/22/21 3pm)

If Henderson and Klopp can’t shout at the players there is no point in them being on the pitch and sideline. :slightly_smiling_face:

I wonder if Hendos goal went to his head, that’s when things started going side ways, wasn’t it?

Sorry for the typo…yes Hendo is the captain and yes he has every right to remonstrate to his players…and yes I did mean Klopp and he again has every right to remonstrate his players, and I have been watching for the 6 years that Klopp has been here, and a considerable time before. The point I was making was from Shanks, Paisley, Thomo, Gérard H, etc, etc to Klopp, it has been well known that any disagreements between teammates , they (the club) have tried to solve the disagreement in the changing room or training ground. Arguing on the pitch, with teammates gives the wrong impression to other teams. Your reply stated it was your opinion, but surely the correct spelling of bollox should be bollocks…which is IMO. All on TAN have opinions some we agree with some we don’t…it would be so boring if we all thought the same TAN wouldn’t be the same.

Trolling level: Ice cold. :cold_face::cold_face::cold_face:

He had to go sideways to cover for his two midfielder partners disappearing.

He seemed to be pushing up to help out Firmino who was having a really bad day.

Just thought I’d mention that I thought that Cucurella was B&HA’s best player on the day. Did an excellent job on Dalah and even managed to look dangerous on the occassions he managed to get forward. Circumnavigated our press almost as if it wasn’t there.

When did we sign Dalah then Flobs…? Must have missed that press conference :0)

When my keyboard slipped to the left!

It’s a bugger that, isn’t it…

He did, but only found a couple of hair ties and a can of hair spray.

Thought he was ok but our sloppiness in possession was BHA’s best player.

Actually really like Trossard’s game he looked so dangerous everytime he touched the ball and took his chance really well.

Really weirdly the first 20mins he was destroyed, we kept doing the Van Dijk long ball into the channel and Salah was having a field day…

Then we stopped… Another weird tactical decision.

We started well, and it was all a bit too easy. 2-0 and cruising. A Naby injury and the change in midfield hindered us, as we had two players in Ox and Jones who wanted to hold onto the ball and dribble too much. Johnny Barnes sang pass and move, it’s the Liverpool groove. We neglected some of the basics from a strong position.

The defence didn’t have a great game either, and Bobby was poor up front too. His usual game of pressing and knitting it together for us wasn’t quite paying off. Then Brighton didn’t play their part for us and roll over at 2-0 down. Instead they regrouped, tactically and in effort, and they took the game to us. This was not a small team coming to Anfield to play the low block and nick something on the break. This was a small team (I’m talking resources, fan base, etc.) who are very well coached, who came, and played a good game.

Credit to Brighton, they were well worth a point. Potter should be in line for a bigger job soon. If and when it comes he should consider the example of Eddie Howe, who for a few years at Bournemouth did a similar thing, before it all went stale and regressed.

On our end there are definite issues to sort out. Nothing major. But some lulls in form, some sloppy passing, the shape of the team in allowing too many chances against… we can, and will, sort it on the training pitch and improve. In the meantime we are three points off the top, and a sense that we can do better. So all in all not bad at all.

Oh, and as for potential issues of disharmony, I don’t see it. We are a very good team, and if we are below our best in a game, it will get a bit tetchy as we try to cajole each other on to our true level. It’s a team of pros, pushing each other. To my mind, nothing to see here.

that second ball recovery has been a blind spot of ours for a few years now.

I’m genuinely not sure what your point is? You are saying ‘remonstrating’ is ok but that they were ‘arguing’ which is not ok? Carragher spent the entire 90 minutes of every game yelling at everyone around him.

I wrote bollocks but if you prefer bollox that’s fine too

A to D.

I noticed Trent’s terrible headers second half. Woeful. Also his corners along with Robbo were terrible.

For some reason their both having a mare at the moment…

This pees me off beyond words. Who TF are these people that need to get away a bit early? If you’re so concerned with beating the traffic then stay at home and let someone who can stay to the end have your ticket. :rage::nerd_face:
