My kind of music, ( I know its the wrong place, looks like Wigan)…
Wonder if that’s where Bob gets it from.
Haha Yeah I wasn’t sure what Joel was doing there…
Matip was my motm if anyone, Becker would have got a second vote but for the penalty.
Which wasn’t a penalty.
Still it was careless in my view. It was asking for it and with our service from refs he was going give anything.
Me too, love listening to it.
By no means am I calling for the manager’s head or anyone to be fired, cause that would be daft. What I am saying is, this team needed better management in the summer…we knew that there wouldn’t be much rest with the quick turn around and no preseason, we needed a full squad to manage the 3 games-a-week schedule…relying on players with chronic underlying issues is madness. In addition, the midfield needs a player or two who can chip in with a few goals, Gini grinding down his contract is doing us no favours and 3 other MFs who should be shown the door. All I’m saying is, after going hard for almost 3 years, this squad should have been refreshed after winning the league, for the betterment of everyone involved.
I agree with everything that you have written. It hurts me to say this, but old whiskey face was sharp to notice and move on it with his scummy teams. We needed to be ruthless last summer…we should have brought in a few new players especially in the middle of the park who hadn’t tasted any trophy wins. Lallana should not have been the only casualty from that midfield. Two or Three others should have joined him. There is little to no drive from the middle of the park without Hugo…no assist/goals…shit I’d love a midfielder to give us 7-10 goals per season from open play.
Problem we had in the summer was,we didn’t have spare cash and other teams weren’t going to waste whatever little transfer funds they had on buying our bench warmers/cast off’s,for us to be able to re-invest in more players.
It’s all well and good being ruthless but if we could have got buyers for Phillips,Karius,Origi,Shaqiri,Wilson and Awoniyi for example,we’d have probably brought in another player, but the only way those players would have left us last summer, was by selling them at a cut price and leaving us out of pocket and probably not able to bring in top class players to replace them, even though as things stood,we spent well and covered positions that needed covering at that moment in time.
Getting rid of Klopp… Yeah, let’s cut off our nose to spite our face.
Give your heads a wobble!
Who is saying that?
People.
People are saying.
Jeez, I just hope Klopp doesn’t read some of the comments on here. He’ll be off.
A bit difficult when we had a few players available for sale that no club were interested in or could afford and little money available to buy, we did add Thiago and Jota.
This is true, and a further problem is that there is little money floating around in football due to the pandemic.
So struggling to get Origi, Grujic, Wilson etc off the books is one thing. But I think had we decided to be more ruthless than that and looked at moving on Ox, Keita, Minamino or Matip I think we’d have still struggled to do it.
I find it exasperating that fans believe football is like a bloody computer game and all we have to do is deem a player available for transfer and he’s as good as gone. Football isn’t a vacuum, and world event like a global pandemic are going to hit it just like any other sector.
I don´t think anyone really said “get rid of Klopp”. Surely it is just chinese whispers . You know what I mean, someone says something and some else adds a bit and so on until you get a completely loony answer.
I’ve seen a couple of posts referring to Gini running his contract down. I’m not seeing any such thing. He’s still playing with the intensity he always has. I feel like he’s also had more shots on goal recently than usual. In isolation a small drop in performance standard from a player is usually covered up by his team mates continuing to perform at their normal levels. It’s unfortunate that we have a few players who are not hitting their normal standard. Once Mo, Sadio, Bobby or whoever starts scoring and Trent and Robbo provide an assist or two we’ll be fine.
I know it’s frustrating. Let’s us as fans put ourselves where we were when Jurgen arrived. Remember his “doubters to believers” speech. No more fretting pre match from me. I can honestly say, hand on heart, and I would swear on a Bible to this. When I was entering Anfield on 7th May 2019 that I believed we could do it against Barca. The same against Dortmund at 3-1 down. I felt that way. Most of the ground did and I’m sure that the players picked up on it. I’ll be projecting positive vibes their way tomorrow.
I’ll admit that I have faltered recently. The combination of losing key players to shithouse challenges and some poor officiating going against us has had me doubting that we could do it. No more!! Positive vibes all the way from now on.

Psst, @costared says that we’re all “spoony dancers”. Pass it on.
Exactly just because they are footballers and yes get very well paid, that argument really is ridiculous. They are all people and just like anyone can struggle.
@Klopptimist Doctors and Nurses are under extreme pressure especially now, my sister is a nurse and I’m more than proud of her. But everyone has different stress to cope with regardless of who you are.
Post of the day for me. Thanks @Commando
Sure, why not? If you have goals to achieve and pressure on you to achieve them, the amount of money you get paid is less relevant, and can often be a drag on mental health. No matter the circumstances.
Presumably you’re trying to make a petty, snarky point, but you have no idea how wrong you are, so please, just stop trying.
