better improved, 3 points guess we cant get carried away still not convinced by the formation especially when Diaz is back it would be a great loss if nunez becomes an origi

If he scores the goal that wraps up this seasonā€™s Champions League final, Iā€™d take it.

First class performance and result to match, now to kick on.

Could have been so different 5 minutes in though, Matip missing the ball and letting Simms in, then Gomez performing his trademark turning his back on the shot, luckily the shot hit his back.

Need to do the same to Newcastle now.

Anyone seen @Dutch ?

Been a while but good game all round.Lot of decent performances, and just the time to do it against the Bittersā€¦
Young Stefan looking like a hell of a find,MOTM for me.
Darwin had a good one,Gakpo on the Score sheet, should help his confidence.
Looks like Robbo was enjoying himself, taking the piss a bit.
All good.
Sure Everton are at the wrong end of the table, but looked like we might be starting to get our Mojo back, letā€™s confirm it against Newcastle.

Bloody marvellous game. Monday night poker and a big TV, whatā€™s not to love?

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said ā€œit felt like us, it looked like us,ā€ after the Reds recorded their first Premier League win in 2023 with a comfortable Merseyside derby victory over Everton at Anfield.

I have to admit, I actually thought the same. My only hesitation is that it was a Derby. Hopefully, we apply the same application against Newcastle and Real.

If it can buy us a new CMā€¦.

Cody Gakpo with the interview quote of the match as well, and I quote a comment from elsewhere:

hilarious deadpan answer to Joneā€™s inane ā€œ19 games left Cody. What the teamā€™s plan now?ā€. Gakpo: ā€œEhhhā€¦to win them allā€.

I wanted to vote for Origi for motmā€¦ Gone but definitely not forgotten!

Everton were really bad. There is alot more in this Liverpool sideā€¦ Mainly the defensive fragility needs to be taken care of.

Enjoyed the cutting runs through the midfieldā€¦ Most notably Gakpo and Bajcetic.

The atmosphere in the ground felt a whole lot better tonight. Outside the ground (pre match) it felt very flat (IMO). Even walking past the pubs there was no singing inside. It felt like everyone had saved it for inside the ground? And it worked.
The best pre-match singing and YNWA in a long time, certainly this season anyway. The Reds seem to respond to it and the fans responded to the response. Thatā€™s what we need more of. Letā€™s (us fans in the ground) set the atmosphere pre game. Get The Reds going and feed off it. Then let them feed of the atmosphere.
As for tonightā€™s performance? Better all round. I know that some posters have pointed out some flaws and slips in our perfomance tonight but on the whole The Reds looked more like their old selves. Even when we beat Barca 4-0 if you were to watch the full game back now yhereā€™d be misplaced passes and missed tackles.
At least we showed passion and fight tonight. We hunted in packs (Iā€™m surprised that Hendo is so far down the poll)? It worked well and I can only imagine that Dycheā€™s pre game planning must have been based on our last few toothless performances?

COYR YNWA :+1::nerd_face:
