Post match: Liverpool v Everton (EPL 21/10/23 12.30pm)

That’s ultimately all that matters. If I’m Dyche I’m fuming at Young for being the dumbest 38 year old in football and probably sending him to the reserves for the rest of the season, thankfully however I am not.

He’s right. It could. We’ve seen them given, especially against us. But it also was firmly in the category of seen them not given. It was hardly a great injustice.

I’m currently on a North Sea ferry. Will watch the highlights when I get back to Germany.

Did I miss anything?

Liverpool cashed in the IOU from the pgmol by being given 2 completely deserved big calls and now are totally even

Just heard that Bobby Charlton has died which rather puts a downer on the day.

Nobody got injured, and we get the three points. Wonderful! :+1:  :star_struck:

Dyche will probably drop Pickford then.

20 shots off target :joy:

I wonder how it looks first half v. second half. I read quite a few comments saying that the red card changed the game, but I didn’t feel like it made that huge a difference. Keane was the real difference.

It changed the game only in that cliched way of the team with 11 having to figure out how to respond to their changes. Before it we were thoroughly dominant and looking dangerous…inevitable even. That is why young was forced into 2 yellows. Afterwards, especially for 20 mins in the second half we looked labored and uncertain, but picked it again with the pen ultimately coming from a period of ten mins or so of pressure like we had in the first half

Winning another 12:30 game.

Well well well.

Lethargic at times from the team and the crowd, but hey ho, 3 points and top of the league.

Big Virg Motm, thought he looked back to his best at times today.

Everton = shite, did fuck all before red card, and fuck all after it

Klopp’s game management and Subs were spot on. Elliot, Nunez, Gomez and Matip were solid when introduced.

Thats not fully accurate because blocked shots aren’t classed as on target and at least 4 were last ditch blocks.

Another notable point from today is that we can no longer say the last player to get a second yellow against Liverpool was Sadio Mane when he played for Southampton.

Probably shouldn’t expect another for seven years.
