Post match: Liverpool v Leeds Utd (EPL 29/10/22 7.45pm)

I’m worried about this too. Over the last five years we’ve performed at a level that should have yielded three league titles.

You’re putting 97-98 point campaigns together, and you’re watching those cunts cheating their way over the line, getting questionable decisions along the way. You’re not human if you don’t start feeling this in your legs at some point.

Klopp get a free pass when he’s part of the reason we have a midfield which is a year out of date.

Basically Klopp and Edwards disagreed on extending Hendo due to an incoming decline.

Your agenda against Fab is quite frightening…you only ever single him out as the underperformer.

Individual mistakes costing us again, Gomez shocking…time to drop him.

2nd goal, how is an 18 year old squeezing a pass between 2 players (Milner and Jones was it?) absolutely unforfuckingivable.

On the other end of the pitch, Love Nunez but he has to be scoring at least 1 of those chances.

Phillips is not the answer. He’s pretty bang average. Surprised he hasn’t already been sold.

The thing that really concerns me is that it isn’t clear what kind of midfield we want. The midfield of workhorses that gave Trent and Robbo to platform to cause havoc is gone, and Klopp has shown no inclination to replace those players. We now have Thiago and Elliot, and while they are fine players, they aren’t going to leg opposition players like Hendo and Gini did.

I know this is going to land badly, but we couldn’t half do with Keita getting himself back in this team.

Finally the penny has dropped, some on here attack you when this was mentioned, he s crap but some telling us he s one of the best DM in europe lol. Not having a dig at you.

He’s average yes but at least he can defend, pretty sure he wouldn’t be making individual fuck ups every game like Joe is doing. The guys an absolute clanger of a defender.

You won’t get pelters from me. If the club rate Bajcetic as much as if rumoured, give him a go. At the minute it’s like we’re playing without a DM.

@Mascot reg the 1st goal it’s not Alisson’s mistake. It’s a terrible mistake by Gomez with a careless ball. Just because a kind, caring, leader like Alisson points to himself, doesn’t mean it’s not Gomez’s error. He’s a true leader who’s deflecting from the kid getting another bad mark, and believe me, with the exception of the Cheaty game, Gomez is having his worst season.

What I am worried about, is that the many games we’ve conceded first, has not really led to an effective way to prevent this. We saw last 2-3 games that Virgil sends it it to the stands even though he has a chance to salvage possession. That’s what you do when you are trying to avoid getting caught again.

And back to the high of this roller coaster ride. The City win was all down to pressing, caution and counter-attacking, a la 2016-17. The long ball to Salah and everyone concentrating to avoid errors. In a series where fine margins determine the outcome of each game, we should have focused on our defense.

From the comments before the United game it suggested Keita was pencilled in for an important role.

Well that was bollocks, wasn’t it? We can see off City and Ajax but balls up against Forest and City.

I think it’s going to be a long season. What goes down will hopefully go up. I don’t think the issue is with talent, we just need to get these guys playing as a team.

It’s a combination of 2 and 3.

Allison calls for the pass you can see it clearly in the footage he moves closer to the edge of the box if he doesn’t slip he controls it comfortably.

Of all the times not to forget the MOTM poll.

We could do with the world cup break starting tomorrow, I think 3 weeks of this and we will have to win the CL to play in Europe at all.

I can tell without reading this thread that there are probably going to be a few “the keeper had a blinder against us” excuses to gloss over a very poor Liverpool performance. There is something that is obviously not right, and I’m not talking purely the players, there is something going on in the background that has been growing for a while and is now spilling over onto the field (management). I can sense it.

A few things I have noticed that I have never seen from this group of players over the past 5 years, and that is on field aggressive shouting at VVD and Mo plus others, and I have seen it from both Hendo and Milner, etc. I am not sure whats going on and I don’t know why its coming out this season. I didn’t see it today, so I am talking past games.

Quite a few poor performances.

Oh, and thank fuck I dont have to hear that ridiculous VVD has never been on the losing side at Anfield stat.

Alright men and women of delusional, tell me how you’re spinning this into something positive.

The worst two weeks in the Premier League era, good times.
