Post match: Liverpool v Man City (EPL 11/10/26 4.30pm)

We were doing OK up till Kavanagh thought he needed to wreck the game, easy to do for him, at least, just change your fucking shirt.
There have always been good refs and shit,But we have just seen it taken to a new low.

Been on the road most of the day coming back home from visiting my lad at college. It was lovely to see him. Managed to keep on radio silence and not look at messages or hear anything about the match until I got home and watched a recording.

Mixed feelings about the whole thing for me.

The overriding impression I came away with was a certain numbness, as I witnessed the fruit of many years of systematic cheating with my own eyes.

As for the game itself - and their cheating must be the main story - we were giving a decent account of ourselves, especially being short of some key players after the international break. I thought our best three were Koumas, Grav and Munoz, and the poll above seems to agree.

Kavanagh stepped in a gave a ridiculous second yellow to Grav, and from that moment on they capitalized and piled on three goals.

We are a work in progress. Iraola ball will grow as the season unfolds. We hung with them for an hour, even against cheats, and even with our own issues from the international break, but after the red card they piled on and it was all over. Ugh.

The authorities must do their job. They deserve credit for being tenacious and seeing it to this point, when I had sort of thought they were bottling it, or getting overrun. But credit where credit is due.

Now finish the job.

Rumour as it he was a very good assistant referee (linesman) in his daughters game :squinting_face_with_tongue:

I don’t think you can judge soft Andoni or our soft team just because they all acted soft.

We were probably the better team until Ryan’s imaginary second yellow.

Both weren’t yellow cards. The second wasn’t even a foul.

Disgraceful reffing.

Only one thing stood out to me. The ref looked like he was not going to do anything until Todd Alquist whispered into his ear.

Yeah he didn’t look like he was going near his cards.

I am not gonna focus on the individual players performance. While some were definitely still not up to par, we were the better team. And then the ref decides to come ruin the night and clear the passage for the shites. As a team tonight, we mourn the long gone fairness of the league, that we were robbed of at least playing a game on fair terms on the field, but we will come back again. This needs to fire up all the players to play their best season ever.

I am sure we win or draw that, City had started to only attack on counters and Donnerwhatever made a really weak save which was a shame no one was looking to follow up on just before the Grav second yellow.

Deffo had them and if we had got that goal I think the crowd would have brought it home. Nice early yellow to neutralise our right back as well. Again that could have been a warning. Only yellow card that was up to the point I turned off after Haaland’s goal was the one city got for that foul on the edge of the box.

There were other yellows but Kav missed them because he’s a corrupt cnut.
