A good result and win.
Wasn’t pretty at times but defensively we were so much better bar Fabinho.
Much needed.
Jones was the pick of the bunch.
Ramsay defends the back post, crazy scenes.
So we beat Manchester City and end Napoli’s thirteen-game winning streak, yet we lose to Forest and Leeds.
Will the real Liverpool please stand up?
Another corner turned!
Thought Thiago was fantastic. We were a bit ragged but the passing got better as the game went on.
Very important win in my book! And the performance and intensity makes it deserved as well. We were the best team on the field, vs the most in form team in Europe up to this game.
PS: Van Dijk’s record at Anfield still stands in Europe
Just we could rest him earlier as he tires and then I am afraid of soft tissue injuries to him
Just lol at the BT commentator…she has one eye on the Liverpool game and 2 eyes on the spurs game apparently
Good result, shame about Spurs late winner, looking odds on we’ll get a “big team” in the last 16 now.
An unexpected but very nice win with Firmino MotM for me.
Very entertaining and very even game, when Darwin came on he caused havoc and could have scored a couple more, Jones man of the match, Tsimikas a close second, much more movement and life in our team, Fabinho all over the place but main thing was performance of the team and a bonus winning 2-0. Onwards and upwards.
And yet do we really want the Leeds of Europe?
Darwin comes on in the 73rd minute, sets up a goal for Salah, puts in another that should be a goal, chins a lad, then decides to smash in Van Dijk header that’s tricking over the line from an offside position, only he isn’t offside after all.
Let’s hear it for the maddest bastard to play footy.
“Big teams” are like spiders.
They’re more scared of us than we are of them.
Not a lot of complaints on that performance tonight.
More life in midfield, and it showed along with a proper physical presence in central defence. Also proper cover for TAA before Milner went off.
I am content.
Who cares , we play better against them.
