Has this been confirmed by @ILLOK ?

He isn’t my boy, but he does get picked on by some when he has done well as he has a lot of space to cover.

I do agree he needs to improve the quality of his passing.

This is a fair point. I won’t name names but I am thinking of a couple I have not seen. They have been strongly anti-Slot for a while.

Of course there have been issues, and he is on thin ice with regard to whether or not he will be our manager next season. Let’s see what happens there.

But the last week, after Bournemouth, has been really good. Ten goals scored and we advance to the knockout stage in the CL with ease, while also beating a strong and committed CL level opponent in the Prem.

It doesn’t mean Slot is suddenly the Messiah again, let’s see what happens … but it should mean that we can say fair play to that man, and well played you reds. It has been a good week.

To disappear when the team sees an uptick, but to be here, visible, and commenting, when we struggle? Nah. That seems small and shithouse to me. Again, I won’t name names, but I am seeing a trend.

Very pleased with the game today. I think Newcastle burned themselves out after 30 minutes but we didn’t lose our heads after they scored.

I thought it was a good all round performance but Wirtz and Ekitiké were exceptional for me, and I was delighted for Konaté.

We seem to be a bit better defensively. No daft errors. Just make it safe and reset.

One last thing, is it just me or should Gordon have been sent off. He made no attempt to play the ball and was intent on injuring Alisson. He does this every time he plays us, and I can only recall him being sent off once. Dirty shit of a player.

Well worth getting out of bed for.
4-1 flattered us to be fair, but after the season we’ve been having, who’s complaining?
Ekitike is deserving the Torres comparisons, and that’s strong praise indeed. He’s full of confidence and looks like he’s having fun. His link up play with Wirtz is fantastic and will only get better. Flo’s found his feet as we all knew he would, and is showing that he’s world class.
Very emotional scenes for Ibou at the end. He was an absolute rock in defence in this match and let’s hope that continues for the rest of the season. Ryan and Dom were good too, and I felt Cody had his best game for a while.
All in all, a very pleasing result. There’s still a lot to do though. Our closest rivals upcoming fixtures are easier than ours and we’re still missing important players.
Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:t3:

Dirty thugs of a team, managed by Eddie Howe. Did you even see Ramsey clothlined Kerkez just before the end of the 1st Half? That was dangerous. Surprised someone even like Howe as a manager as a Liverpool supporter.

Picked on? It’s only me who criticises him. Everyone else appears to think spinning a player and passing it to the opposition makes him the best midfielder in the world.

He had a good second half after a crap first half. His effort for their goal was laughable. Not a performance that is particularly deserving of any great praise.

If he plays like that second half against city I’ll change my tune and you’ll be the first to hear about it.

Yet Mo’s effort trying to defend and for their goal was worse, you are so blinkered and yet say it is others that are blinkered.

I could let it slide if you had mentioned his 2nd half performance but no you were quiet only prepared to slate him when others are worse.

I actually thought we could have had more, a couple of gilt edge chances went begging, Hugo and Mo (twice)

If it’s not keeping tabs on who I’m criticising you’re keeping an eye on which posters are on here when we win and when we lose.

It’s not that serious mate, don’t take it all to heart.
