I disagree. I don’t think it’s a foul and certainly nowhere near enough contact to warrant falling to the ground.
Sometimes the better team wins and it’s fine. It happens. Tonight is one of those times.

I thought both were fouls

Fair enough. I didn’t. Neither were given.

I watch, coached (UEFA ‘B’) and still play football and I was a refereeing instructor, I also have numerous other coaching qualifications in lots of sports, so my dick is bigger than yours.

However, your opinion is just has valued as mine.

Disappointing way to go out.
When I saw Nunez with the ball ready to take the 2nd penalty, I actually said oh for fuck sake.

Credit to PSG, best football side we’ve played against in a long while.

Throughout the game though, we were caught in possession far too many times.

Having a referee who makes Michael Oliver seem likeba born & bred scouser didnt help either though.

What does Chiesa need to do to get a game? Gakpo coming back from injury played before him.

Yet they given fouls with no contact?

Who let Donald Trump into the match thread?

Never mind last week, I thought tonight was fairly even and we lost on penos and that’s it. They weren’t really better than us in tonight’s tie but got the goal they needed and then put their penos away. Small margins as they say. Any one of our chances going in would have changed the result. With a bit of luck tonight we’d have been through.

Ive worked at Bradford City, Leeds United, Saint Helens in Rugby league.

You ever meet Billy Mallinson, Hull FC?

Was their conditioning coach around when I left the UK 2000 - 2006

Not at FC i did when he was Hull KR probably 2009ish

This thread has taken an unexpected turn.

Yeah he worked with me in the Prison service in the PE department, really nice effervescent fella, but soft as shite with management.

The thing about Nunez taking a penalty, and yes we all thought he probably would miss it as his confidence seems quite low, but he was on the pitch and is a striker so had to take one of the first 5.

The second penalty probably has the least pressure attached, I would rather he took that than number 5 when we may have been 5- 4 down on pens

We gave it our all and we were pretty good tonight. Just didn’t get the goal to show for it. My main gripe is we didn’t score when we were well on top for a good spell in the second half.

With that said, PSG are the best side we’ve faced this season, and over two legs they shaded it, just. They have pace and power all over the park, and they can all play.

They have a very decent chance to go on to win it.

It was probably informative as to the type of player we should be looking for in summer. Obviously they have to be able to play and be good on the ball. But we need more pace and power, too. I would say that athletically only about half our side could live with this PSG side in this form.

Overall it was a fine margin between the sides, and it boils down to a moment here or there, either way.

The new format needs work. We did not get rewarded as we should have for our great league performance. There were at least a dozen sides I’d have rather faced in that last 16 than PSG.

Sigh…Lost our best RB and CB in this tie for essentially nothing…The league cup final looks in jeopardy now…fuck me, even the last few matches in the PL looks shaky now that we can’t find a decent RB in this squad who are not injured…

Is there any kids that can play RB better than Quansah do??
