Post match: Liverpool v Real Madrid (UCL FINAL 28/5/22 8pm)

Could have closed it down better but not having that it was a pass. He clearly tried to shoot and completely mishit it. It’s just the story of Madrid’s season that it lands at Vinicius’ feet by chance.

All the fans who had genuine tickets and couldn’t get in need to have reparations and their travel costs inbursed by UEFA, they are a rich organisation.

One reporter wasn’t let in by security people unless he deleted video footage of them tear gassing the fans outside and then he would be allowed in the stadium, this is so wrong by the French Police. A UEFA official had to intervene to stop it.

We had to play the way we did, problem was we didn’t take our chances.

What would you have done differently?

Of course, we need to review the attack as well. But looking over the entire season, Salah seems to have dropped off a cliff after AFCON, Mane is doing decent as a CF. Jota needs to improve his all-round game. Diaz is very over-played. Minamino needs to play more. Firmino needs to wake up.

The rest of the attackers are clearly not trusted by Klopp or are too young. Next season will be different as Salah ( if he is still with us) and Diaz has no world cup, Mane( if he is still with us) is not expected to go any further with Senegal than the round of 16. Firmino with his form will be benched 80% of the time for the world cup.

I don’t like the narrative that their goal is in any way down to Trent. It was a hard cross shot and Vinicius Jr nipped in at the back to prod it home. There were at least two better chances to stop that from happening, before we start to wonder if Trent could have cut it out.

Trent had a good game. He was at least the match of Vinicius and he probed well in attack. Late on he also took it from Benzema as he cut across. Trent defended well and was strong and switched on.

Their goal was a hard cross shot stabbed home at the back post. It happens, but I would not blame Trent for that, but if we want to apportion blame, go back further for much better opportunities that other Liverpool players missed to stop the danger from developing.

Well, I just felt over the entire season, we could have rotated more even after the AFCON forwards comes back.

You know what the biggest fucking travesty of all this is.

Gareth Golfing Bale has 5 fucking champions League winners medals…

Never looked like a shot, unless you are comparing to our shooting

why did we have to play we did?

Well, he hasn’t shown that consistently at all. I would think he needs to bulk up more in terms of overall strength. Yes, he has the agility to skip one challenge but just somehow doesn’t have the ability to run the opposing midfield to the ground.

And the less said about his shooting the better.

We can analyse all night of what we should have done. Sometimes you need luck on the night. The football gods were with Los(t) Blanckets!

Because it’s how we play every game, when have we ever sat back under Klopp. The players would have thought he’s afraid of Madrid.

The real McCoy is still available, you know.

That being said, I can’t see anyone that is remotely like the Luis Suarez we had that played the role of CF perfectly.

Klopp really does HATE teams that sit back and counter…never ever hear him congratulate them

Did he touch the ball tonight?

Blaming Trent for that is laughable.
