The more I see Keita’s shot, the angrier I get. He is arguably the only senior midfield player that had the least amount of minutes in his legs, had literally no one near him within 5m and decided to use the outside of the foot technique to sky the damn ball back to Anfield instead of taking a touch and hitting the ball on target.

Yes? It’s much easier to believe than he picked out the perfect cross by hitting it with the instep of his laces. The shape of his body etc is not that of someone crossing. There is also a angle behind him that shows the ball bobbles slightly as he hits it. He was trying to put his laces through it, it hit his instep and turned into an almost impossible good pass.
Not that any if it matters ultimately, games are decided by such margins all the time, it is just unfortunate that we got caught by it today.

I am surprised at the shout for the end of Jones. I think he is a very good player!
Still younger, and this last season did well enough but was disrupted by injury. To see the action he has, at a team like this Liverpool side, is very good. He may or may not go on to establish himself in the side, but at the least, for the foreseeable future as 2-3 age out, he is well worth his place in the group of midfielders we have.
Our team had a great season albeit falling short in the 2 big competitions. Jurgen will learn from this and improve the team again. Hopefully the parade will pick up the boys and with a good rest and preseason come back stronger and finish the quadruple next season.

We haven’t played a single good game in about a month, probably since the Villareal first leg . There is a reason Quads dont happen, and why it was considered so remarkable that we played the number of games we did - we basically spent the last of what was in our legs in April and have been squeaking out results since on auto pilot.
It seems odd to say given they were all we ended up taking home this year, but the domestic cups have to be fucked off.
I am just disappointed at Keita in his time so far at Liverpool. Hasn’t been able to get the trust from Klopp to displace Hendo from the starting line-up despite being here since 2018.
His contract is also up in the next summer. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hold off renewing his contract.
