Oh dear
So I watched back the game. Two things.
- We absolutely schooled them. José saying the best team lost is obviously just being José. I’d be ashamed to play in a JM team.
- The refereeing was even worse than I thought after the first time.
Not bringing on substitutions was Klopp’s call. If we wouldn’t have won, there would have been 100s of posts on how we were having the subs, but never used them.
But the credit of not using them and winning the game is never given to Klopp. He knows what he’s doing.
Tell that to everyone who was slagging him off after the Fulham game.
Now breathe
Many were asking for changes during the in game thread but for me everyone was playing well we were creating chances and were on top, I just couldn’t understand who would have made a difference. The ones being touted have missed a lot of football and as Klopp says have no rhythm.
Jose says the “better” team lost? Pray tell, better at what? Kicking the oppositions’ ankles? Diving? Handballing? He’s be right then. I’d like a pic of Mane and Gini’s ankles after the game. Aurier is a chump, Maureen’s just instructed him to play like Pepe did for him at Madrid. And Anthony fucking Taylor just let it all slide…just like their clearly offside goal. If you’re gonna be splitting hairs with VAR then DO IT THE WHOLE DAMN SEASON WITH EVERY DECISION!! Otherwise it is grossly unfair. But that’s just the way they want it, isn’t it.
UP THE FUCKING REDS!!!
That’s me until the end of the season!
I can’t see a cat on the internet without this popping into my head…
Not that I’m complaining…
Yes a mysterious low-res line emerged last night, much thicker and even prone to greater error. Some cunt at Lancaster Gate is updating his CV this morning.
86th minute when Son took all the time in the world for his substitution the Ref pointed at his watch.
Then they gave just 3 minutes added time to help Spurs win the one point.
Unfortunately Bobby scored in the 90th and they could not switch the board from 3 to 6 minutes
To defend is to do.
Yeah, by something like half a goal?
Spurs very clearly wanted to use their ruthlessness in front of goal to make this a 20 minute game. They’ve been doing that all season. They played dead in the first half, had a strong 15-20 after the break and then retreated again after that. I thought they visibly looked knackered on 70mins.
That’s why I think they’ll ultimately fall short. You can’t keep winning games if you are uninterested in playing football for three quarters of the game.
During the first half Taylor showed a consistent pattern of blowing fouls for tackles from our attacking players when they did their defensive duties. Whereas Spurs weren’t really defending that way. In the second half it looked like our lads were wiser to Taylor’s MO and we just saw the correct balance of foul play you would expect from 70:30 possession ratio.
I didn’t feel quite as aggrieved as Klopp did by the number of poor calls or lack of them on fouls on the Reds. The ref’s attitude to our defensive play needed adjusting to quicker by our lads.
Mourinho truly surpassed himself last night ; ‘Best team lost’ … in what fucking universe did that happen then ?!
And what was he on about Klopp trying to grab the officials board ? I didn’t see that. (Was he getting confused with Pep trying to do it the other night ?)
He just proved , once again , what an utterly graceless fucker he is.
Oh , and his team plays SHIT football.
Once a red…
I give @SBYM one job and I have to wait for others to post this.
Thanks for this. It helps enormously in these difficult lock down periods.
Throughly deserved.
Odd we made no subs.
Just before corner was taken I said to my lad…last season we were nicking these games…
We score and he goes…like that yeah.
Defo someone in VAR dont want us winning. They took 30 seconds to give Sons goal yet reviewed Bobby’s for an age when there was clearly nothing wrong with it.
I reckon there will be quite a few changes on Sat.
Why do we keep getting early kos when the likes of villa are getting 9 days rest between games. Crazy.
You too had one job. To spell his name correctly.
