Anyone arsed? Hope not.
On to Everton and let’s fucking tear this league.
Poor….not a great performance or result
Too many senior players below par, particularly in attack.
Losing Gomez early on was a big blow too.
A game to forget but not sure Slot will be overly fussed (secretly).
YNWA.
Glad for Plymouth, they battled a really wanted it. Their coach has a great story too and seems a really smart guy.
Shame none of our players put their names in contention for a first team place and that we lost Gomez again. At least no one else got injured.
Apologies - I thought I’d opened this. Mind you I’m probably going to be the only one talking any sense.
Suppose I’m still not used to these multi-championship comps each year.
A chance for a title is a unique opportunity. I’m having a difficult time with the mindset of “oh well, the Derby is more important”—when it is still a mid-season fixture.
Of course, the Prem is the penultimate eventual title. I’m yet feeling like leaving one on the table, is unfulfilling.
Disappointing performance today, largley caused by us having nothing in midfield, which meant the experience we had up top got nothing and then ended up trying to do stuff by themselves.
Never nice to go out of a competition, but clearly we have different fish to fry. The very fact that Jones remained on the bench shows that Arne has priorities that far exceed chasing this one.
Chiesa was very frustrating to watch, but he didn’t stop running which is something.
Couldn’t give a flying.
Their GK and CB arguing with each other and then the other defender coming in not realising and trying to celebrate with them was the best bit of the game
Fully deserved victory for the home side, who defended really well.
Our players were poor, simple as. Very disappointing that international players of the calibre of Diaz, Jota and Chiesa weren’t able to trouble their defence more, but the midfield didn’t really create much for them.
I think it’s a bit harsh, and the game would probably have looked rather different if Gomez hadn’t gone off injured. As it was, playing a back line with Endō not that frequently in that position, and a debutant was quite hard.
The only disappointment for me is that is a poor Championship side, so that narrative is going to be there - that’s why I really wanted a decent level Premier league team.
But never mind, this could be our most important result of the season.
Well…what can I say…speechless…
Big opportunity for the fringe players but they didn’t cover themselves in glory. Our more senior player were pretty rank too.
Choose 3 for MotM? I’ll stick one for Kelleher for actually managing a shot on target.
Other than that it was a dreadful disjointed performance. I think Slot underestimated this and was found out. In fact, I think may have given up by keeping Jones on the bench.
can someone on here remind folks on here we lost and stop audtioning for comedy central… you all need to get angry and mean. Were is @Walshy07, @cynicaloldgit, @RER. We need our angry and mean people on here
