Did they ask him about his future as a CB?
That’s why we lost. He was too focused on the league table carnage.
Is it Nallo?
Seems like it’s McConnell.
Happy with that. Lots of rotation - hopefully we now put in two good performances away to Bournemouth and Everton.
The youngsters and fringe players had a great experience and we were still pretty decent. Chiesa probably the pick of the bunch.
Still topped the group with all the changes. A loss on the night, but lots of positives overall.
Onwards and upwards.
That red card on Nallo was bullshit. There was clearly a defender coming across to cover.
I thought you were going to say that it was a kick in the nuts.
Thought the ref was pretty poor all together.
And on the bracket point above I think we are incredibly well placed based on how the standings finished
Friday afternoon, I believe.
In regards to the ref, one of the commentators said that he had reffed four games, five now, and the home team had won every one of the games.
Says a lot about his reffing
Can he referee our home games?
This match showed how much FSG has screwed us and ruined our season. If only we had spend another 300mil to buy 11 first teamers to replace the other 11 first teamers when they needed to rest, we wouldn’t need to throw in subpar players which ended in an embarrassing result. We are just one injury away to VVD and Salah to quickly get into the relegation zone by end of the season
Good of the club to fit in a preseason match at the end of the Champions League group stage run to give the up and coming youngsters a run out along with the first team members who needed that match to get a fitness boost.
Saw the highlights.
Chiesa the best of the bunch.
Feel for Kelleher as he got handed an entirely new defensive lineup in front of him.
In the end , the loss did turn out to be non consequential.
We go on to Bournemouth with a relatively fresh side.
Federico Chiesa vs PSV:
3 successful dribbles
1 penalty won
1 shot leading to a goal
11 ground duels won!
4 tackles!
2 shots
Lively performance
First time i saw Chiesa looking lively, fit, and energetic. He’s flashed the skill before, but seems he may have reached the required fitness levels finally and has the potential to be a very useful player the back half of the season.
Of course, now he does have to stop playing like a single minded side show and integrate better with the team as a whole…
Thank you.
I don’t understand it.
Don’t feel this is an issue. If anything, it shows ownership.
It was a textbook red. DOGSO and all that.
