Post Match: Spurs v Liverpool (EPL 19/12/21 4.30pm)

Not even going to watch highlights…still fuming…

I know how you feel.

You missed Jenas wanking over Winks performance on motd.

I just don’t get why VAR don’t ask the ref to take a look at Kanes tackle but does with Robbo. Then I hear VAR say that kanes tackle wasn’t reckless and he was in control….if you look at the still of the foul Kane has his eyes closed so can’t even see what he is doing.

Mad.

But the most annoying thing is…nothing will be done…they know how wrong they got certain decisions…but it’ll be a cover up…ggggrrrrrrr.

Jenas is a Spurs man and hates us. And he’s a twat!

Fair enough. I think every Red thinks the same

Jk…just write a cheque out and donate it to your favourite charity and make Tierney make a speech as to why this donation is coming their way…
Squirming little worm

And a dip shit.

You’re not actually disagreeing with him though, you’re actually reinforcing his point.

Paul Tierney and Chris Kavanagh should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute…

I did, I disagreed that Robbo’s tackle was not less aggressive or violent by saying that Kanes was a potential leg breaker, which is far more violent and aggressive as robbo’s!!!

Yes, I think @gasband was referring to Kane’s tackle as “not any less aggressive or violent”, not Robertson’s.

So he compared them as the same when Kanes was worse IMO

Does anyone know why we never see Michael Oliver as much? It feels to me he’s only reffed 2 matches of ours in the last 12 months, when at one time he seemed to always get our highest profile matches. I could be very wrong, just my perception we don’t see him much.

Why would they give us the best of a bad lot when we could get Anthony “Manc wank” Taylor or someone as equally shite?

Which, in my opinion, is utter shit. If you want to use VAR to get calls proper, they should be able to tell the referee, “I think your decision needs rethinking. Watch the tape.”

This is probably the first time in years I have been thoroughly pissed off at a referee. I usually don’t take offence to referees, I know their job is hard and that the game is fast, and usually I just completely ignore what other think is a great controversy. But tonight (or last night), I am still pissed off. Because the Kane tackle was a clear red. And Jota had a clear penalty I thought, although that situation I could live with. It is some what subjective and open to some interpretation at least, but Kane’s tackle is certainly not ! I thought Robbo should have probably have had the red, it was at least orange. But the fundamental problem is that Kane’s tackle was worse and much more dangerous, and that was glaring in a way most referee decisions are not. I actually feel a bit robbed.

The only good thing to come out of this is that finally the media is casting a strong spotlight on the PGMOL. It doesn’t help the PGMOL that the biggest clash of the day is actually our match with the spuds and is broadcasted all over the world.

Would FIFA and UEFA use any English referees for any matches in the future?? UEFA doesn’t have much of a choice because they are limited to UEFA members’ referees. However, for FIFA, they got a lot more to choose from.

One thing for sure, we will definitely not see English refs for key matches or key knockout stages. Any blunder by English refs will definitely make UEFA and FIFA look like utter fools.

Cunte - played Son/Kane up top, and exploited our full backs leaving space. Usually we can deal with it, but the new midfield were under the cosh.

They also had the frustrating game plan of stopping all our transitions. Each of their yellows were for the cynical “pro” fouls. Added to some that the ref wouldn’t give (the obvious pulls on Salah trying to wriggle away for a break, with the ref just turning his back). Plus some soft yellows for us, think Keita and Tsimikas. An early yellow for Morton made our gameplan much more difficult as well.

And yet, the ref had three key incidents - Kane, Jota, Andy. As Klopp said, he gave one, and his ineptitude blocked two. So all three key decisions went against us.

In a 2-2 game, that’s the difference. With Man City on one of their usual runs, we are doing well just 3 points behind.

Carabao cup - need to shuffle a lot if the games are not postponed. Main target is the three quick Prem in a short period starting from Boxing Day.

Generally haven’t been annoyed this year probably because the lines got bigger but we’ve seen a fair few decent ones.

Seem to pop along when everything else is transpiring against us.
