What’s Alisson supposed to do, stand there and let them have 10s of one on ones? He’s had one of the greatest games but hey it’s his new GK coach that’s the problem. No the problem was Harry fcking Kane allowed to continue to try make it a match up for an otherwise ass kicking we would have handed to them despite being half wounded ourselves. Shambles the league can be at times and fck it’s refs. And fck the commentators who cream themselves calling it a proper PL game that had everything in it. Fck it. Just fck off.
How come such incompetence is allowed to continue game after game, year after years is beyond me.
We are just too nice at times. Glad Klopp called spade a spade. And he should have not fielded that midfield today and should have just asked for calling it off.
It does make me laugh when I remind myself that the only time pundits in the future will talk about Harry Kane is when they are discussing cunts who never won anything.
The biggest plus of the day was Mane’s performance. The best game he’s had in the last eighteen months. He ran them ragged until he was surprisingly subbed when I thought Mo should have gone off.
A great game for the neutral and barring the refs performance a great game of football. Not surprised any more with the referre-ing in the EPL. It’s happening game after game and week after week. Unfortunately it’s not going to change.
Can’t see any football being played again now for a while so Happy Christmas everyone and let’s hope we get back to some kind of normal in the New Year.
I’m going to turn my frustration toward the club again, and say we need to be smarter in situations like the Kane assault.
This is now the second time this season we’ve had an opposition player fly in like this with potential leg breaking tackles, and on both occasions our player (Robbo today, Hendo against Brighton) has got up quickly and given VAR a reason to stop the review.
We need to wake up to the fact that VAR are far more likely to take the review seriously if they think the player is seriously hurt. I get that Hendo and Robbo don’t want to be soft cunts, but I firmly believe that had they both stayed down and made more of a show of being hurt they would have forced action.
On the two occasions where a shithouse tackle resulted in a red card, Elliot and Keita were both badly injured.
I thought Ibou had a good game, but there was a moment where he made a run up the field and then when we lost the ball he dropped into left wing. The problem is that young Morton dropped back into centre back while he made that run and Ibou didn’t make any great efforts to get back into position and help a youngster out. Spurs got the ball forward and Morton was left one on one. We shouldn’t be in that type of position. Ibou needs to recognise that.
This single bit of play shouldn’t define how well he votes, but neither should the mistake from AB.
Today, I witnessed one of the most blatant examples of corrupt refereeing.
The refusal to send Kane off, for a tackle which was dangerous and could’ve broken Robertson’s leg was a disgrace. Then, the refusal to award a penalty for the push in the back on Jota, is just inexplicable.
On both occasions, VAR was not used.
But no wait, hang on, VAR was used for the referee to change his mind and send Robbo off. All’s well there then.
It’s no wonder Jurgen lost the plot with Paul Tierney.
That was one of the weirdest yellow, which isn’t talked about enough. Every fcking keeper when leading against us takes that much time just to place the ball and another 50 seconds to finally kick it.
