Newcastle fans have got what they probably hoped for.
Expect high, pray for medium.

Seriously, FUCK Tottenham. Their attitude the whole match was to hurt our players. Being physical does NOT mean play to injure and maim.
Oh no! Poor Isak. He was almost settling down better. How awful for him.
I hope he is on the mend soon. I hope that Tottenham player apologises to ISak. He could have ended Isak’s career with this reckless and dangerous challenge.
From 1st minute to the last…they were just thugs…
So 2 players injured from challenges…
And those weren’t the gratuitous cheap shot shoulder that earned a yellow or either of the two that earned red cards…
When did Spurs confuse themselves with the bitters and decide it was more import to hurt players than to play football?
CuJo acted like the adult in the house and help Ekitike pulling his pair of shorts back up after the goal celebration.

If you allow your players to be assaulted time and time again over the years without calling out the offenders/ officials who allow it then other teams will cotton on. That’s how football works at the top level in this country. Nothing goes un-noticed. It’s no different to opponents knowing we can’t handle long balls and set-pieces.
We are a spineless club and have been for years. I’ve lost count of the number of times our players have been assaulted with impunity. I’ve listed them often enough on here. Robbo was elbowed by a fucking linesman.
That’s twice this season a player has raked VVD’s calf. I don’t recall a similar incident involving another CB playing for anyone else.
The irony is it was Attwell on VAR who called it, a bloke who thought Cresswell’s disgusting challenge on Henderson and Sanchez wiping out Diaz at Brighton were ok. Maybe they don’t see us as a contender this season.
Isak is just the latest to suffer because of it but he wont be the last.

I’ve asked this a few times, but what do you actually think we should do? What course of action is open to the club.
I’m not saying this for needle. I’m genuinely curious what you think we can do.
I’m not going to bother, someone will take offence and grass me up.
I’m not sure about the club as a whole, but Klopp certainly wasn’t shy about being openly critical of the way we were refereed.
Whether that was effective is open for debate.

Given what we now know about Coote, it probably made things worse.
I’d say both, but mainly the coach. When the overriding instruction is to avoid conceding and avoid mistakes, the team starts playing within itself. Pressing triggers becomes hesitant, the rest defense turns overly cautious, and the distances between the lines stretch instead of compressing. You saw it in the final 15–17 minutes against Spurs with nine men, rather than exploiting the overload with tempo and positional risk, the play became slow, predictable, and anxious. That kind of fear-based control isn’t sustainable. Eventually, the structure erodes, and the team collapses like a deck of cards.
The talent in the squad is obvious, but something isn’t quite right in either the setup or the messaging. When they go ahead, the players start playing scared, which points more to coaching than to ability. That kind of caution doesn’t come from the players alone; it’s a reflection of the instructions they’re being given.

I’m struggling to think what other clubs do to protect their players from injury and shit decisions, that we don’t. I genuinely don’t know what options are open to us.
If we moan about about rough treatment in the media, that’s a huge red flag advertising exactly how to get at Liverpool.
If we respond in kind on the pitch our games would end up abandoned. You know we wouldn’t get away with the shit other teams get away with against us.
We could moan at PGMOL, but you already believe (with some justification) that they hate us, so I don’t know what that achieves.

That is on the hands of those wearing black and those at the VAR…
