The ref let them get away with that shit but we all know who the ref was so no surprise there.
I’ve only ever seen that once before when Drogba did it against us. One of the biggest cheats the game has ever seen so he’s in good company.
I don’t recall Wolves resorting to such shithousery under Nuno so I imagine this new bloke has something to do with it.
And he’s not Portuguese.
It’s not the first time he’s gone back though. He scored the only game in our 1-0 win there last season, a win that kick started our run to a CL spot. There was a lot of talk in the game thread about him trying to hard on his return but youd think if that was ever in his head it would have been satisfied with that goal last Spring.
That’s what I was trying to remember, if today was his first match back there or not. I was drawing a blank in my memory. And again, I generally like him and appreciate him but he turned me off today.
EDIT: also, my feelings and assessment might possibly be a little harsh on him, so I didn’t want to get carried away by the emotion.
I must have had the same commentators. They were making it sound like we were lucky to be in the game because of some Lage and Wolves masterclass.
Klopp… Get out there and get me a goal,Div!
Origi…Yes Boss!
Duly done,albeit latish!
The lad has done that a bit now, good for him.
Div.MOTM can’t see any others, wasn’t a great day at the office, but the points came to where they belonged!
All Good!
He scored 3 goals this week, and will start the next match no matter what you drama queens think
Solid contribution. 10/10. Subscribed.
If you never watched Mane or Salah go single minded in a game and perform atrociously you haven’t looked it’s happened.
Trying to hard to prove a point perhaps it’s not the first time a player would do that and Klopp will know that.
I assume the fans play a part in comparison to last spring. I’m with wee joe I think there is a massive overreaction that’s completely forgetting what he has done this last week.
One of them was former Ballon d’or winner and Aston Villa and England legend Lee Hendrie.
Please go back to finishing games with a 4 goal cushion more often.
Not saying I dont love this kind of football , but the chances missed by us were so frustrating. Another day it would have been a 4 0 hammering.
Chelskis losing to west ham probably alleviates our loss to west ham and gets us some ground back so all in all a favourable week for Liverpool so far.
Correct, and if I were to pull all those post match threads I’m sure the people spoke critically on it then too.
I was only speaking of this match, today. It’s my opinion of how he played today. “Massive overreaction”? Ok then. It was a footnote to what I had said was a good performance by the squad overall. That was not an indictment on Jota’s career or him as a player.
Criticism of Jota today is fair, but obviously he’s a fantastic player who is doing really well for us, and will continue to do so.
I don’t remember them booing him before, and I think that was getting to him. It culminated in his miss. Easy to just roll it in to the side of the defenders, but he whacked it, almost as if he wanted the flourish of shoving the boos back down their throats.
Understandable, but he will learn.
Since we won we’re all happy and we move on. All’s well that ends well.
Gotta love the fact that Klopp didn’t settle for the draw. Took off a midfielder and put on a Striker. This team is amazing. But, we could do with one more top class attacking player and I think he was playing on the other side today. Adama Traore only has a year and a half left on his contract. I expect we will be in for him but we should try to get him before NewCastle enter the market and make it crazy.
Whatever happened to @Alright Now? Haven’t seen his posts for some time.
You know the difference between good and great players. Adama Traore when substituted, the commentator said he was really good value tonight for entertainment. Yes entertainment, he was all muscle, high speed runs with no output. But Origi came in and beyond scoring the goal, was getting in good position, holding the ball, providing outlets, making good runs and its not wrong to say, he made more impact in that short time, more than any other player tonight.
I figured we would pull one out of the fire today. What a finish to a fairly well-played match (Wolves time tactics aside). Divock doesn’t disappoint!
Just wow. Wow. WOW.
Divocks at the wheel at the wheel Divocks at the wheel!!!
Get in!!!
I see I was not the only one to be frustrated by the commentary. The whole game was about Traore and how great he is, what a threat etc etc then about how well Wolves played and that they were arguably unlucky not to be leading and then about how few clear chances Liverpool had (ignoring the two sitters missed by Jota). The absolute low point came when that cunt of a commentator, whoever the fuck he was, said that Coady was the only scouser on the pitch.
How the actual fuck do they let useless cunts like that get in front of a microphone?
