To be fair to the defence, the ridiculous new interpretation of the offside law does not help, How in hell can you be only just offside and a goal allowed. You are either offside or you are not ! The new ruling gives refs to much leeway and the opportunity to favour teams without getting criticised.

Jürgen is on the warpath:

Be afraid, Bournemouth. Be very afraid.

You can’t and you will see that the afternoon. Together with that new ‘rule’ let the play go it gives the MO every chance to fuck us but what else is new.

We did the same after Palace… hopefully this one works…

Can’t exactly make a sneaky return around here, can one?

@Colossal_centre_back if you’re re-appearance brings us a win, you’re starting all the pre-match threads for the rest of the season! Welcome home

Second that

No he isn’t. He’s an attacker being asked to do defensive work that has previously been done by the midfield. Both of our wing backs have had unrealistic expectations put on then defensively this season.

3-0

Carvalho over Bobby imo

Two goalkeepers on the bench again. It’s a joke.

That’s the result of not having actual squad depth in the midfield and forward position!

Going to need the starting line up to do the business because there’s pretty much nothing on that bench to get excited about.

Can we just score first and early please

HT 0-0 is actually fine. Don’t mind grinding out a 1-0 winner after the 60th minute. If Bobby drops deep, then Salah/Diaz should be coming in from the flanks.

Would like Andy to actually try to link up with Diaz for a change, rather than pass to him and then come inside into the congested midfield that he’s been doing lately. Pass to Diaz, then make a run on his outside to open up possibilities.

I hear you, but it’s not like we have a lot of choice at the moment

I think Fabio will have something to say about that, he looked lively when he came on against United.

I agree. Bobby is slower than he was, which wasn’t fast to begin with, seemingly wants to play in midfield as that’s where he’s found more often than not and isn’t linking up with anyone at all tbh.
