Well, that’s great, just fucking great.
Gakpo starts for me then
Well what’s the alternative can pull a sad face but he was our best player on Sunday.
Problem is who’s going to finish/score?
Probably should start anyway, I like the organisation he is bringing to the frontline currently.
I was hoping to see Gakpo LW, Jota up front, and Diaz RW again.
I can’t see us dropping Salah for this one. We’ll probably go with Diaz, Nunez, and Salah up front.
End of the day they have to step up, we put enough straight at Leno on Sunday to say it wasn’t perfect.
I’m sure that Jürgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA
I know the stats are on his side etc etc but I am fucking done with Nunez.
End of the day it’s what we have available, more concerning for me is Jota seems to be getting these injuries too regularly.
Anyhow stick on Danns instead, local boy would probably explode if he scored
Yeah , Danns seems more likely to score than Nunez and Salah.
Stick with him. Danns getting a goal will be a major plus.
The same guys who were scoring the other 4832 weeks Jota was out injured?
Not like this is new territory for us, we found ways even without Nunez, Salah and Jota.
Mentioned him above.
With Pickford you only have to account for slightly less width so as long as you do that you should be ok.
The Jota news is a big blow. 2 weeks, so assume he misses Everton (tomorrow), West Ham (Sat 27 April), and likely Spurs (Sun 5 May). Should be back for the final two of the season (Villa on 13 May, and Wolves on 19 May.)
Maybe it’s time for the Macheda impact for Danns.
Assume we see something as follows tomorrow;
Bench - Kelleher, Qunasah, Elliot, Endo, Gravenberch, Gakpo, Gomez, Tsimikas, Danns
On current form Cody has to start?
I think it will be between Jones and Szobo in midfield to partner Endo and Mac. Probably edge towards Jones, if he’s training well and if he has raised his rhythm.
Salah to return of course. Diaz had a positive performance on the right against Fulham. I’d keep him in, but this time on the left, considering Everton’s issues at RB.
And yeah, I’d also go with Gakpo in front of Nunez.
One of Danns/Koumas/Gordon on the bench instead of a missing attacker.
I’d like Gakpo to start, but I assume, given he played almost the full 90 Sunday, and played the full 90 last Thursday @ Atalanta, he will be given a rest, and the fresher Nunez and Salah will be given the nod. I’d have no issue with Diaz starting on the bench and Gakpo going left.
Suppose Klopp could go Gakpo left, Diaz right, and Mo down the middle.
Why? Gravenberch has been better than either lately.
