I hope not Jones. He hasn’t looked good at all since coming back from injury. I’dlike to see Grav given a chance based on his performance. Then we’ll have some good firepower off the bench if needed.

When? Apart from the goal on Sunday. Last autumn?

Apart from the goal he played well. Certainly better than CJ and DS lately.

Showed a good few touches, but it’s not something I’d call “better recently”. Szobo hasn’t been doing great and Jones did slightly better than him, but still catching rhythm (and in my opinion, didn’t deserve to get Mac’s zone straight since returning from injury). I understand the argument of rewarding Gravenberch with a start tomorrow because of his goal and a few good touches, but for me in total and the game we’re facing, there’s not enough for it.

Jones has been poor after his return bar the 15 against Sheffield United.

I don’t think he should be moving Maca for him anyhow.

Maca is perhaps first name on the team sheet for me. So impactful. Endo starts for me as well. Jones is a no for me right now. Elliott needs a rest and is great off the bench. So that leaves Grav vs. Dom. Based on Grav’s last performance and Dom’s current form, I’d like to see if Grav can build on that performance. That goal had to give him a confidence boost. He only played 60 minutes as well. Worst case, we have strong options off the bench we can turn to.

Imagine Joe scoring in Jurgen’s last derby with us.

@Bekloppt I’ve tried it all. At this point, I’m just saying whatever is top of mind. And I have a lot to say.

How’s Chelsea playing at Anfield?

You, boy, are more high on emotion than Phil Collins…
They play at the Emirates…try to keep up…

Pfffft…as if a club football game not involving Liverpool could ever be at Anfield…

Very dangerous game, and we tend to draw there a lot, however big the gap in points and class there may be…
Also dreading potential injuries from these thugs…
A few years ago they messed up our season by ejecting VVD and Thiago from the rest of the season, and practically got away with murder in the process…

We need to break the habit and get the win, no matter how scrappy…anything else is a bonus…
A win is a win-win (surreal sentence, I know), as not only gets us the 3 points we need to keep challenging, but also puts them in questionable position, hopefully needing a result in their last game vs a title rival, to avoid relegation.

More cliches than a @klopptinho novella.

There…

PS: Fantastic that Chelsea is rolling over at the Emirates…

Heard Jota’s out again?!

In that case, it would be Gakpo down the middle.

I actually think Salah only started once centrally (he doesn’t prefer it) in a 4-3-3 (did it much more when we flipped to 4-4-1-1), against Leicester at home in 19/20 (Milner’s last minute winner from the spot). When Klopp interestingly reshuffled the positions of our front 3. Mane was on the right defending/bullying Chilwell, Bobby in the left half-space and Salah left central almost in a Vardyesque role.

We did something similar defending City away in the return leg of 17/18, when we were struggling in the first part of the match. Switched the front trio at one point in the game so Salah’s defending became very “minimal” and heavily focused on counter attacks.

Salah central in our formation against Everton’s deeper block without the ball doesn’t make much sense.

I wonder how many players we’ll lose through injury, after tonight’s game against the thugs.

More than Arsenal have lost in the last 2 seasons.

I hope Everton lose players if they deliberately hurt our boys.
