The sending off spoiled it as a spectacle in some ways, as Chelsea just tucked in and held on for the draw, with an outside chance of nicking a goal in the break, but their ambition was a draw, and they got it.
No massive complaints against our players though. The intensity wasn’t good enough but it’s not the biggest crime.

we applaud chelsea’s effort at defending but our approach was shit… we didn’t work them hard enough in the final third. yes we had the ball but didn’t really create anything. yes thats mostly down to chelsea but lets be honest, we have seen this movie before against low block teams… congest the middle, push lfc wide and force them to cross. rinse and repeat for a couple of seasons now

Tsimikas was the right substitution, was a little late though. Robbo wasn’t creating much from the left.

Not a wum but I think the entire Anfield could see we need a different approach to break down chelsea. Maybe a runner into the box from midfield will help more?

Any team would struggle to beat down a Bus which was what Chelsea did in the second half. When you’ve got 9 players behind the ball and then the keeper who had a good game
Liverpool did create some chances in the second half. They also did get some good long range hits across too.
Hindsight ,Tsimikas should have been brought in earlier but that would be hindsight.
