The combination of Quansah and Matip at the back is catastrophic. There is simply not enough pace there, period.

Would be tempted with at least three subs. Konate for Gomez, Endo/Grav/Bajcetic for Mac and Elliot for Jones. If Nunez has a half in him then Gakpo should be hauled off as well.

In possession, Salah pulls out wide right, and Joe Gomez(!) goes in field. As the ball progresses, Gomez ends up in the middle at the edge of the D. Baffling really.
Joe has done well in the times he is actually wide right and putting a cross in.
I know its an in-match thread but chill out everyone. This team is on a 14 or 15 game unbeaten streak. Its a bad half, we have players on the bench to use.
We’re only 1-0 down. Just relax a bit.
