Where is the fecking bottle? Defensively, we’ve looked on holiday for several months now. More astute teams are exploiting us down our RB side now, when Trent’s out of position and Gomez and VVD just aren’t providing the cover.
They could be the Bayern who played today and win 4-3 in the end or the Bayern who let in four goals like last weekend.

But two of their goals are because Gomez fucked up playing offside, how is that anyone’s fault bar his own poor timing… He then compounded both by not being close enough, then letting them get inside easily.
Don’t get this defence of him, he’s been woeful.
I blame McNulty for blowing serious smoke up our arses after Arsenal.
Huge slices of fortune in some of their goals, but the margin isn’t unfair — they could have had a few more.
Harsh - he was inches away from scoring twice.
This is tactics as well. The defence hasnt looked comfortable with the ultra high line at all since pre season. But we’ve stuck with it. This was bound to happen.

Villa deserve it. Theyve targeted TAA and have received a boost with Alisson not playing.
Villa can score more here if they want.

In fairness, there are two teams on the pitch. Villa have taken the match to us. Adrian made an error, yes, but Villa clearly had a game plan to spring counters over the top. Barkley looks like he’s been in the side for months, not days. Fortunately, he didn’t hit any of his four legitimate scoring chances. Great finishing by Watkins.

Bollocks. Gomez has been utterly poor. Yes, the midfield and the GK and the other defenders have been poor also, but Gomez has stood out as been even worse than them.

To be brutally honest,
Villa are bang average.
All down to our collective fuckup and collapse.
We had few good chances which we should have taken.

Get Henderson and minamo in for Gomez and Wijnaldum.
