Pre Match Chelsea vs Liverpool, Sunday 2nd Jan 2022 (!) - Premier League

Anthony Taylor. Paul Tierney as VAR.

Fully agree! No level playing field, no consistency to the postponements, it’s a farce.

To be fair, I don’t think there is a combination that you’d look at and go ‘fair enough’.

Isn’t Jon Moss relatively okay when he’s VAR? Something about not having to run around…

Well, that’s that then.

Seems like we will have plenty out with covid. No Klopp as well. But we need to grind out a win whatever the situation.

Hope they call it off and I’m sure they will if the remaining squad gets tested once again tomorrow.

Don’t test on matchdays anymore.!!

Assuming this is a 16:30 GMT kick off?

Hope it’s not too bad. We have had a few cases in our family over the last few weeks and it has been quite variable.

I had to get tested on Thursday as I was pinged by the warning app but fortunately it was negative. I looked at the date and time of the possible contact and it was when I was at the vaccination centre. The irony was not lost on me.

On the upside…grandson tested+…and 4 days later-…keep well.

Thanks gents. Yeah feel good no symptoms. Actually had a cold a few weeks back and I was bed ridden for a week so this seems great in comparison :joy:.

Integrity of the league is gone so all I’m bothered with now is top 4.

Several clubs wished to push through the fixtures and then half of them cancelled anyhow.

Not catching City if I’m honest, and I doubt us when we are missing 2-3 key players for games throughout January (which is probably what will happen) will mean we are in danger of being caught by the dross below.

No doubt we will probably discover another 2-3 tomorrow but Sky must have their game on television.

Just about to post the same. The whole season is a fucking joke with the biggest of all being the lack of ‘null and void’ shouts. Suppose that’s because we’re not 20 points clear at the top of the table.
Title has gone imo, all about top 4 now. Should have more than enough for that once we get January out of the way and get everyone back fit.
I know the alternative is a fixture pile-up but I wonder what it would take for this club to push for a postponement? Black Death sweeping through the club? Plague?
The irony is Salah and Mane still being here probably means the game will be played.

Got it too. So much for being triple vax.

Some symptoms but not unbearable. Nothing really changed at home though. Wife and kids on one side of the house and I’m on the other side watching scammer revenge youtube videos when not watching our replays. I’ll do this for 7+ days…

Hope you, our amazing leader and everyone else infected feel better and recover soon.

“I’m not [able to reveal the names] because we still have to make the whole processes, getting a proper PCR and all these kind of things, but you will see the day after tomorrow on the teamsheet. It will be pretty clear then who is affected or infected.”

Karma if you ask me. Few days ago Klopp was moaning about other teams not confirming which players tested positive and as soon as we had a positive case he did the same.
