Possibly. The funeral was on Tuesday according to the German Press. They said that she died on 19th January so I expect that he wanted it to be kept private until then. I must have been very hard as he would have known that she was ill but not able to do anything about it.
Then again, maybe it’s not too late to have the press conference tomorrow, even if it’s an early Saturday kick off.
I have the press conference sky+'d on the LFCtv channel, unless its live only on LFCtvGO around mid day tomorrow, the next scheduled showing is tomorrow night at 8.45pm.
Tomorrow at 11:25 GMT.
The good news for us is that Leicester will try to win, so we might have some space to play. I would definitely start one of the new defenders, probably Kabak, though I wouldn’t be altogether bothered if he played both of them in a new pairing.
I like the diamond midfield posted above, with Jones at the point, behind Mo and Mane, and Bobby making way to add some depth to the bench.
It’s time for Liverpool to regroup and make sure we finish top four. Beating Leicester will be a very useful step in that process.
The key change we need to make is taking Bobby out of the side.
It’s fine arguing what he brings to justify his selection when we’re winning week in week out, but his performances and inconsistency just don’t help right now.
At a stretch, you can argue for him against the top sides, when he has more space, but against bus parkers he isn’t any use.
Personally I’d be going Mane, Mo, Jota (when fit) against bus parkers, with Thiago in the creative attacking midfield role, and maybe losing a forward and adding a midfielder when needed against better midfields.
For Leicester I’d have Mane and Mo ahead of either a diamond with Thiago at the tip, or a 352.
Apparently both Fabinho and Thiago is unavailable. Would you take
TAA Ozan Ben Robertson
Henderson
Wijnaldum Curtis
Shaqiri
Salah Mane
I can see us starting one of our new Center backs but playing both would be a big gamble.
Ideally would of been Fabinho or Hendo to start alongside one of our new signings.
This is what people need to remember. They will make mistakes when they first play and it is not because they are bad players. They need to learn the system and who is around them. That’s going to be easier with an experienced player next to them.
Is that confirmed already, or just some internet rumours?
Edit: just looked up yesterday’s training pics on the official site. Indeed, no Thiago nor Fabinho.
The amount of rotten luck we’ve had this season, on such a consistent basis, is truly unbelievable.
Has there been a single game where we were able to play the same side as the game before?
I’d love to see a table at the end of the season based on minutes lost to injury per team.
Ill be glad when this season is over. Not thought about football all week. Im mentally fatigued like the players.
Klopp just ruled out Fab. 'He suffered again‘
Noting on Thiago but nobody asked. Keïta is close, I’m waiting for the setback. Jota not as close as him, maybe 2 to 3 weeks so probably halfway March the way things go when the gaffer is naming a timeframe.
Fabinho out means Hendo will be at the back.
Even if so I don’t start Thiago if he is not at 100%.
The Liverpool physios stealing a living at this rate
I can’t even be bothered commenting on the injury situation anymore, it’s just so bloody depressing.
I don’t think so. On average, we lose a player every three days*. And more often than not, it’s an important first team player.
*Didn’t make the calculation, but it bloody feels that way…
I think we’ll see Kabak and Hendo at CB.
