Yeah, he was not there on Thursday, but the plan is for him to be on Friday, which took/takes place after the press conference.
I think I would be playing Neco and moving Trent into right midfield. Without Henderson and Fabinho I fear we will lose this one.
Fabinho trained today
Against the Arsenal:
Salah: 11 Games, 7 Goals, 4 Assists.
Mane: 16 Games, 7 Goals, 4 Assists.
Jota: 7 Games, 4 Goals, 0 Assists.
Firmino: 13 Games, 8 Goals, 3 Assists
11 of 26 goals assisted by forwards,
So in theory (not all goals are assisted) 14 assists need to come from somewhere else.
Most from left and right back, not much from midfield.
We need Henderson in midfield for this, Thiago, Fabinho and Chamberlain will not cope with the runs from Saka and Smith-Roe, they will be hoping we play a high line so they can get in behind and score, not feeling very confident.
I want Hendo to play, but I don’t think he will.

I admire you’re optimistic views that minamino will start a pl game….what’s it been, nearly 12 months since that happened?

Any training pics from today? Interested to find out if Fab was training.
The Beeb with one of their typical hyping up articles before the game…
That’s the Arse ripe for a twatting then, which I am expecting in all honesty. I’m normally quite level headed going into any game, against anyone really, but I somehow have no doubt in my mind we’re going to stomp all over them. It’s inexplicable.
About 30 years ago I was in the Himalayas - it was early winter, beautiful endless clear blue skies, and the purest air you have ever breathed. The mountains constantly whispered how insignificant you really are.
It was a clear crisp day as we headed deeper into the mountains trying to progress as far as we could. Our transport, a 1950s diesel TATA truck had seen better days. Around 2 in the afternoon, the fumes of burning diesel became incredibly noxious and overwhelming. We were forced to abandon the vehicle and our only option was to hike to our RV. Within an hour of setting out, the weather changed from crisp and clear to a driving blizzard. We completed the last 3 miles or so on foot, following as best we could the carved-out road. I have never been so cold before or since.
We reached our camp and settled in for the night inside an abandoned former guest house. No electricity, no heating. Candlelight, torches, hot tea, and a bottle of apple brandy was about all we had. One of my mates had a very decent transistor radio. Picking up on the somber mood he began slowly scrolling through the static looking for some sign of the outside world and maybe some entertainment. And then we heard…
“This is the BBC. And now we go live to Anfield for Liverpool v Arsenal”
The sheer joy that those words brought. The freezing cold and the discomfort of that night melted away as he (an Arsenal fan) and I huddled under sleeping bags listening intently. From memory, Liverpool won 2-1 that night. From that moment this fixture always holds a special place in my heart. I could never dislike Arsenal after that - they entertained me and took me to another place, to home I guess, for 90 glorious minutes.
It will not be easy, 2-1 I’d say. I hope both teams play brilliantly.
Nearly two weeks now and I still haven’t quite managed to totally expunge that nauseous feeling after our defeat at West Ham.
Starting today , we really need to go on a winning run if we want to be in serious contention for the league. I can’t see Chelsea or City giving up any more easy points against lesser sides , so in that respect the real title race starts today.
And I don’t buy into all the current hype around the Arse. I’m not sure how they’ve managed to go ten unbeaten because the few times I’ve seen them they still look flaky as fuck and toothless up front.
We need the home crowd to be on it today. Let’s put this one to bed with the minimum of fuss.
JK recognising the problem. Let’s hope we’ve been able to do something about it.
I think both Chelsea and City will drop points, the league winners will be the team that capitalises on dips in form of the others. If we had beaten Brighton and drew with West Ham things would look so much brighter, and to be fair both of those were achievable despite how poor we were in the matches.
I think Chelsea will drop points today, so a win this evening makes up a bit of lost ground.
We need that bit of consistency, luck with injuries and a run of form. If we win today its a real positive step.
Can we smash these twats already…?
Nowhere in the interview did he say they would beat Liverpool.
He talked about raising their game etc, typical press conference stuff, but the headline is a sensationalist misquote.
SKY?
I didn’t necessarily mean starting the game. He might get a start soon with all players missing, so it’s nothing wild to say. Look at our bench tonight and he might be one of the rare options in a decent shape. Plus, he can play a few positions.
