Pre Match: Liverpool v. Manchester United, 2000 BST (UTC +1), Tuesday 19 April 2022 (Premier League)

Make the best out of it mate, hopefully the supporters will be up for it, but you all surely will! :+1:

After seeing the highlights of their game against Norwich, the expectation has to be a win tonight for us, 100%. They were incredibly bad. Norwich really deserved something out of this game, but lacked a bit ruthlessness in front of goal, and gave up three soft, avoidable goals. Ronaldo is a great player, but he was lucky to find himself with three goals at the end.

If they don’t massively raise their game tonight, they’ll be in for another mauling I guess. It will be interesting to see how they react to a desperately bad game from them, despite of their lucky win, and how much energy our lads left on the pitch against Cheaty. But I’m sure that Kloppo will continue to rotate his squad, there is no reason not to. So, our lads, whomever they are on the pitch tonight, should be fresh enough to inflict enough damage on the opposition to take the three points. Fingers crossed!

They’ll come out pressing us like fuck , trying to convince themselves they’re in with a shout. That’ll last for half an hour tops. Pass through the dickheads and they’ll be fucked by then (Matic , Maguire , lol). This should be as straightforward as they come.

Tiny correction for accuracy.

I know I couldn’t play if it were me but if playing I’d something that helps him cope with the situation then I won’t judge him for that decision.

He’s from Yorkshire and lives in Leeds, you realise they went to war with Lancashire (where Manchester is) over some roses… People need to do some research before posting.

Does he have a Man Utd bias? That’s arguable.

Is he a shit ref? 100%.

Referees in England are irrelevant to me because they’ve been shit or against us or both - and that’s for as long as I’ve been watching.

The introduction of the 4th official and VAR have made it worse in my opinion because the ref can be held even less responsible for his shit decisions.

So for me, I just try to ignore who they are and where they’re from. They are all the same.

I think we’ll see a heavily rotated team tonight. On paper, this game is easy-peasy and I don’t see why it would be treated otherwise right now? The only thing better than thudding Utd is doing it with your rezzies :+1:

Not sure, I think some changes based on keeping players fresh but Klopp will be keen to keep up this momentum and rhythm which means retaining as many as the same team as possible game to game.

3 home games in a row also which is going to help massively.

There are a number of reasons why this game won’t be easy and we should take it very seriously indeed.
We can’t afford to drop any more points in the league. So these three points are as important as any others.
The worst thing we can do at this stage is be complacent.
Luckily, we can be 100% sure that Jürgen won’t allow that.

I think we will see a rotated team, but not because of the reasons most of you seem to be suggesting.

We’ve just been through a relatively intense stretch, with a marathon yet to be run; we will probably rotate just out of pure necessity to keep the players from running into the red zone, so to speak.

Jürgen’s points per game record in 13 games against Ralf is his worst against any trainer he’s played 3 times or more. There’s another reason why we won’t be complacent.

I was talking about Tierney who is the VAR.

He rotated heavily against Benfica I know the press don’t recognise that but is fans should.

Have we played Villareal?

We will continue to see such rotation until the season is over, there is no time to take a breather so we need to do whatever we can to keep the squad fresh.

I think that the perception we all have of refs will be biased as we only tend to watch our own matches closely, and therefore assume the errors/poor decisions are against us. That’s just the nature of football fans. The reality of the situation is that all the clubs will have refs they don’t like/feel they get unfairly treated, and that’s largely because the standard is poor across the board.

Yeah but they are going send the reserves out against Man Utd.

Apologies wrong team and poster.

Anyhow whatever Klopp goes with, he picked the right team against Man City and got it spot on. He also got it spot on against Benfica.

Liverpool is also technically Lancashire

Any win will do. Just get the 3 points and no injuries.
