Pre Match | Liverpool v ManUnited | PL Matchday 19 | Sunday January 17th 16:30h | Anfield

No did not miss those reports but is it ok if I don’t believe them for one second?

He struggled a bit when he returned. Than he played 90 minutes in both our wins against Spurs and Palace in the space of 3 days - performed well.

16 days later he has Covid related problems?

If he has problems with heart or lung he wouldn’t be starting games.

Ole will only attempt to win this game if its still 0-0 after 90mins…
Until then it will be Sam Alladross Row Z tactics…

  1. He’d have to be really good.
  2. What quarantine / covid tests are required?
  3. Have to get up to speed incredibly quickly on a tactical front.

Personally I think that’s too big a step unless we do something really special but from what I’ve seen and heard that market isn’t there let alone our own cash position.

I think we just need to look at the reality. Plus I still think we’d be plenty good enough to beat them regardless.

Just done a bit of research on Tierney when he’s done our matches. A few incidents spring to mind.

As you say he has never given us a penalty, he did however give one against us at Chelsea earlier this season. In that same match he sent off Christensen but only after VAR intervened because he only gave a yellow card initially for a foul on Mane when he was through on goal.

He refereed the 0-0 at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago where Mane was denied a clear pen when the keeper held his leg.

He refereed the Bournemouth game just before the season was suspended last year, there was a clear push on Gomez in the build up to their goal - clear as day but not given.

He refereed the West Brom home game a few years back when Solanke’s late winner was disallowed even though it looked a good goal.

He’s another one to watch. The disparity between penalties in our games and those he’s given to United just doesn’t make any sense, simple as that. This is at a time when we’ve been hugely dominant and United have been generally shit. It just doesn’t bear scrutiny.

I’m not a medical expert, but I believe that Covid can have long lasting effects and that may have knocked Trent’s confidence which would explain his lack of form.
Or we could just bin him as he’s shit

Just a thought. Has Millie ever played CB ?

No. He is our next captain.

Just hoping he finds his form.

His passing was awful against Saints.

I’d put Trent’s dip down to having to be deeper due to an inexperienced or slow CB next to him.

Still not an acceptable excuse especially for his last performance.

I think Robertson has in the past. It would obviously come at the cost of his attacking play but anything now is worth consideration.
I feel pretty sure Henderson will play CB on Thursday. An absurd situation that should never have been allowed to happen.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all,not really Trent’s fault and I can understand his frustration at being subbed.
Hope he has a Stormer on Sunday and we can get back to being on top and praising him.

Swear Robbo is only 5,9ft . Reports that Liverpool are not interested in Alaba due to him being 5,11ft. Can’t see Jürgen doing that. Personally I’d put Hendo in that backline and move Millie to do Hendo gig alongside Gini and Thiago

That would make sense as he didn’t look so much off-form against Southampton as off-colour. When did he have it? He has had a reasonable break since the last game but the after-effects of this thing can go on much longer.

So the break between our games have to be either more than 11 days or less than 8 days.

Sometime before November it seems.
Klopp believes that has impacted his form along with his injury, I believe Klopp.
