No excuses. Can not afford to drop points at the moment.

I got a feeling Ox got a goal in him tomorrow

I doubt he will start, he was lying on the floor when Norwich had that attack they nearly scored from and I’m not sure why.

Way I see it is this…

Curtis Jones was basically being kicked out for not being in a photo up til Wednesday, plays Wednesday and now he is above the rest and it’s all doom and gloom that we still have 5 Cm’s.

Remember we didn’t have a defence last year, Klopp might even bring Diaz more back, without Keita or Thiago we are lacking something regardless in my view I don’t think it matters if it’s Hendo or not on that side. Still a chance Keita and Jones are available but if not we’ve got options.

Some very odd responses like the world is imploding when we have a minor injury or two. I’ll take it over last season when we were having to play Rhys Williams in CB.

Moyes has never won at Anfield, so we need to keep this up.

What, ever? Or just when we play West Ham at Anfield?

Having both Naby and Thiago out at the same time is very annoying…Probably means we’ll have to endure Ox from the start again. Klopp will obviously go with the strongest team available and then give some players that started Norwich starts against Inter.

Alisson Trent Konate Virgil Robbo Fab Hendo Ox Salah Mane Diaz

Tsimikas Gomez Jones Jota Mina Origi to start v Inter.

I thought Ox was iffy last time out. Ideally we would see him do better, fighting for his future here, but to my eye he looks slightly like he knows he is gone in the summer. I like him and I know he has had a lot of injury problems, but a future at Liverpool is starting to look like a step beyond him.

If he proves me wrong, good for him, and us, as I know he is a player, but I can’t help but feel that he has lost a step since the big injury with us, and he needs to play regularly to find his best form, and I’m not sure that is going to happen here.

As for the game, the three points are crucial. Close it to three again, and see if Man a Utd can do something on Sunday.

We have excellent options up top and should hopefully have too much for them.

Ox is due a good performance. I did not feel that he was that bad against Norwich though. I think he’ll be better against West Ham. Just don’t let both of Ox/Jones play at the same time.

I’d go with a Fab/Hendo/Ox Midfield to start with and get in Milner and Jones later as subs.

I wouldn’t mind a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2 (We did use a staggered 4-4-2 at one point) at this stage.

Alli
Trent Konate VVD Robbo
Hendo Fab
Salah Mane Diaz
Jota/Origi

Elliot Diaz

Hendo and Fab are shoe ins. It the has to be from a creative pov Jones, Ox or Elliott.

Milner comes on after 70 mins when we’re 4-0 up

Yeah not sure what’s up with the gnashing and wailing. Our depth in central midfield has been nothing short of amazing this year. I mean that’s why we have a squad and it’s a pretty fucking ninja squad as well. We’ve coped exceptionally well with the niggly injuries we’re bound to get and as long as any two of Fab, Hendo, Thiago or Naby are fit at any given time then we’re pretty mint actually. Would like all of them to be fit all of the time, of course, but I reckon we’ve done okay.

They don’t.

Who do you think we are starting these pre match threads for?

I like Ox, I’m generally quite defensive of him but that last performance isn’t one that deserves a start as a less good Hendo is still miles better than what we saw on Wednesday against a second string Norwich in what is his favoured role.

To me you pick on form and at the moment out what is the worst scenario that’s Fab, Hendo and Elliott. If Keita is fit of course he starts and if Jones is fit after midweek again I’d start him ahead of Elliott.

The Chelsea game isn’t the ideal to judge on to be honest, I would assume WHU to be more offensive and You have to remember Chelsea are the second best defensively.

I would play Elliott were he always plays, Hendo is versatile enough to play from the left side of our midfield. TAA, Elliott and Salah, so much creativity :+1:.

Wouldn’t mind a double pivot of Hendo and Fab on a 4-2-3-1 here. Both are good enough to move the balls forward. , and our forwards are good enough to hold the ball.

That or plan B of playing through the wingbacks and pinging in crosses with Trent and Robbo

Fabinho and Henderson are nailed on.

Then it’s either Elliott RCM and Hendo LCM or Hendo RCM and Ox LCM.

IF we flip the system, play a double pivot with Fabinho and Hendo… I was thinking about maybe even Taki in the #10 spot. Or maybe not. Will be interesting to see what we go with.

There might be also a spot on the bench for one player outside the seniors, I guess it might be Morton who gets it.
