What do you know about this lad?
Is he as slow as Phillips? If he is and starts with Nat I expect a Fulham victory.
He’s touted as a CB leftback from what I can gather. The Leftback part makes me think he might be faster than a snail. Then Think and might isn’t a way to select a team imo.
Edit; Of course after 2 full training sessions Klopp will have a complete idea, won’t he? (like with Kabak).
From what I’ve read we got so desperate for a player he was the only one available for almost nothing, a whole month to sign a cb and leave it until the last minute. Klopp has been trying to get him up to speed apparently when he’s available for training.
Really as we hadn’t bought a CB in the summer I would have just gone down the LFC youth ranks rather than panic buy and loan. I mean how could a 20 year old moanee from the Bundesliga displace Phillips?
I just can not get my head around that one and now I have seen Kabak playing it becomes unfathomable!
Left footed, can slot into LCB position. Has had a solid Championship career,.
No way at our level, but needs must and all that. Can do the nitty gritty stuff that we see from CB when we play lower league Prem teams. His reading of the game is good, and makes up for his less dominance in the air (with N Phillips next to him, that should be ok).
The profile of player that a newly promoted team would get. Then it’s all down to him to see if he belongs at this level, or goes back to being a solid second league career player.
An opportunity of a lifetime, so will give his all. Kabak is injured. Our midfield looks knackered. We’re playing a team in the relegation zone with 4 wins in 27 games. If not now, no point in getting him in.
He’s never been given the chance at our level.
Who knows; he may turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
You’ve actually been going to Preston North end to watch him?
Are you one of our scouts?
Would be happy to see Davies been giving a chance. At home vs Fulham, I don’t see a problem. If vs top 6 then obviously he’ll be benched but vs Fulham I would risk him.
Robbo was a Championship player when we signed him…
He has done ok though.!!
Give the kid a chance… many before him have not let us down
Despite precipitating yet another abysmal home defeat, @GermanRed has still refrained from lifting his prohibition on my pre-match epistle. Considering his abject track record in the field of ante-post preliminaries, it seems to me a bit rich.
Like the prophet Zachariah, I say to myself, ‘I have been wounded in the house of my friends.
Boudica has of course taken a different approach. She has added his name to the cohort of the damned, and circulated explicit instructions to the Teutonic Chapter of the Lowton and District Townswomen’s Guild, regarding their deportment should they apprehend him. I won’t go into details this early before the watershed, but let me put it this way, by comparison the Midianites got off lightly.
Speaking of villainy, I see @richieh_10 has purloined my line about taking a scrappy win, so that’s that, the game’s good as lost. It’s typical of the youth of today, incapable of generating their own clichés they have to misappropriate those of the older generation.
I know his sort, and have no doubt that he would sell his grandmother for tuppence, assuming that relative has not gone to reside with the morning stars, except that he would be unlikely to part with her at such bargain-basement rates. He probably thinks a good grandmother should fetch at least a couple of bob. You can visualise him, grinding the face of the poor and taking the bread out of the mouths of the widow and the orphan. That’s right; an absolute bounder.
Ah, what a dusty answer gets the soul when hot for certainties in this our life.
Hopefully his attempted kiss of death won’t throw a spanner in the works and upset the apple-cart.
I’ll take a scrappy 1-0 win to us. ©®™
I think we’ve reached the point where we need to part with that bovine maiden of untouched virtue that you’ve been holding back from the alter. Lambs are just not doing it. Could need her for the ritual before the Champions League final though, mind.

Fixed the last line for ya LR…
Anyway, just write when you want about whatever you want…
I for one, enjoy reading them and appreciate the effort you put into them
4-2-3-1 for me today I hope.
I’d like to see something that gives midfield cover and stability along with releasing the full backs.
Otherwise I’ve decided that today should be a celebration of refereeing incompetence. I’ve now been reduced to watching officials bumble their way through fixtures and actually deciding that it has to be the primary source of entertainment these days. Only the FA could derive a plot that makes a group of over weight middle aged people wobble around in the midst of highly tuned professional athletes and actually steal their thunder. We’ve been doing it wrong all along people!!!
Even that dinosaur Neil Warnock has come out and acknowledged that most referees crave ‘celebrity status’… How right he is for once!
We obviously have to select today’s team with Wednesday’s in mind.
Tough to leave out Fab, but in the absence of Hendo for Wednesday’s crucial season dependent match, maybe we have to.
To be honest, I’m more sure of the players I don’t want to see than those I do. It’s really frustrating to see Oxlade on the pitch right now, also Origi, whilst Shaqiri has frustrated when used of late, despite looking good in the autumn.
Not sure how long he’ll give Jota, he could do with an hour maybe. Hope to see Keita and Davies.

Is Thiago injured or something lads?
