Pre Match | Liverpool vs. Sheffield Utd | PL Matchday 6 | Saturday 24th October 20:00 | Anfield

Murdock hasn’t been involved in Sky for the last couple of years - that’s the only reason I will now have anything to do with them - but I like the idea of donating the PPV money.

I actually get all the games on my standard German contract so I’ll be watching anyway. I’ll stick a donation in the direction of the foodbank regardless.

As far as this game is concerned I think we should concentrate on the defence. I’d still like to see what a Gomez-Matip pairing would look like but I suspect the boss will be limiting game time for both until they are back to full fitness (or fitness for Matip because I don’t think the “full” is ever going to materialise).

We really should win this or we are completely knackered. Hopefully I am awake to the end (stupid kick off time as well as PPV)

I have used Acestream P2P for the last few years (since Sopcast stopped working). No pop up ads, pretty reliable coverage, and as I tend to use a Russian service, no annoying commentary. :astonished:
And not a penny to sly sports. :+1:

Cheers for that tip. And the Russian commentary is actually a good idea! :+1:t2:

Not sure about that. Hearing “Liverpulya” incessantly gets old pretty fast.

I’m sure the Russian girls in the ads will “pulya” too.

If you ask nicely.

with an evening kick off I will be smoking my pipe!!! I have a new pipe to break in, so this is the match to introduce it!
onto football matters, hope Thiago can play! same back four as the Ajax match.
midfield, Hendo, Gini and Thiago - if fit.
maybe rest Bobby and let Jota loose? he looks more threatening than Bobby, and the rest will maybe do Bobby some good.

as for streams, well this one delivers the goods:-

Peacock Premium over here it looks to be. Won’t be paying for that either.

Two android phone apps Live NetTV and Mobdro are very good.

(Don’t know who the cable provider is where you live, but our Xfinity comes with the Peacock Premium included. Might be worth checking before spending the $) Also, what a stupid name for a streaming service.

Sounds like a porn channel to me!

Maybe we should put Karius between the sticks tomorrow. Surly he cannot be that much worse than Adrian…

The walking sticks or the bread sticks.

Whether he is worse than Adrian is debatable (I think Adrian is much better). He is on loan at Union Berlin.

paying 15 pounds for one match is crazy and greedy, anywhere in this world. And unfortunately, this whole thing, even our club and fans all around play their own small part feeding this greedy value chain.

As I said before, I have stopped paying for watching football in Singapore where it has gotten ridiculous. Its crazy when the broadcaster had to pay almost half a billion SGD to secure the rights in a country that is only 5 million people and only a million household not including businesses of course.

I have been using reliable high quality free streams for the last few years and will never go back to paying for any football anymore.

Ya… people get more out of it when the go to the actual stadium.
Asking for more when people are already paying is a scam.

I don’t think you can compare the match going live experience with watching football in a cavernous empty stadium in your house on your own.

Feel sorry for everyone who has to pay extra money to watch one game.

Clearly just a move to compensate the Corona losses.

I’m surprised that none of the clubs offered free match coverage to season ticket holders. Would have been excellent PR for little comparative cost. I’d be tempted if it was a “big” match to have reliable 4k footage but not for this. They’ve probably done the maths and decided they’ll take more money at £15 then they will at £5. At no point will considering the fans have entered into the discussion. But if you usually watch in the pub and that’s no longer possible, it’s cheaper to stay home with a case. I bet they absolutely did do that maths. Granted some people can go to the pub and not spend like a drunken sailor

Anyway, strong performance from us I think, blow the memory of Villa away. 3/4-0 would be excellent although conceding in the first 10 minutes wouldn’t surprise me. We’ll still win though, hopefully

I don’t think you would be lining Murdoch’s pockets now. I believe Sky is now entirely owned Comcast which is an American cable TV company.

Anyway, it’s not only Sky that’s ripping people off with this PPV thing. BT is in on it too, aren’t they?
