Hoping we see Diogo at some point soon. Honestly Werner might be closer to the finished article but I think Diogo has a higher ceiling. What a coup by Edwards and Co. when everyone else was focused on Thiago.
Jones and Wijnaldum are both too deep which is why Jones only gets an ok from me.

Curtis is still learning the defensive side of his game, so he has played conservatively in the game, staying left cover (under instructions).
It makes a change from his usual run all ove rhte place. CAn see he’s been training on his positioning. IN this game, he is in Gini’s usual left mid spot. Probably mIlner comess on for him at 60 minutes.
I thought he did OK… His forward runs were fine but we didnt play him much… He has a shot in him… Might be needed against West Hams deep defence.

On what basis? Mane left room between him and the ball and Creswell nipped to get his body in front of him. There was no contact until Mane tried to get back on the ball, which is why Mane didnt even make a peep about it.
