Why don’t you tell us how you really feel … :innocent:

Can’t agree more.

I totally agree. They’ve also sold out their socialist beliefs and history, quite happy to be owned by, as you’ve already said, a human rights abusing state.
What’s happened to the so called Geordie Nation? The stench of hypocrisy is overwhelming.

For this game, I’d line up :
Alisson
Gomez Matip VvD Robbo
Hendo Fabinho Keita
Mo Divock Jota
Sub in Kostas for Robbo
Mane for Mo
Jones for Fab
to keep players fresh
Should be good enough for 3 points

Need to get the balance right between fresh players and the rhythm.

With Villareal game on Tuesday, and being two up there, Klopp can makes some decisions. I expect to see Gomez start either this or the Tuesday game, and the same with Tsimi (if fit).

Mo is a freak that plays every minute of every game. But maybe Klopp will bench him on Tuesday. Fab and Thiago both playing full 90 (or almost) most games. Expect to see Milner to fill in for one of the two games.

I think he may start Jones instead, I don’t think Milner starts games anymore to be honest.

In the pre-match press conference, Klopp said that Curtis is a doubt as he hadn’t even been able to train. Tuesday game is more likely for him.

Haha @mattyhurst

That’s the game I meant.

@PeachesEnRegalia :person_shrugging:t2:

Scanning the Newcastle forums this morning and most of them would take a point if they were offered it right now. They appreciate that they’re not at our level, but hope they might be in years to come.

This made me laugh:

Curtis Jones and Firmino both unavailable.

Newcastle on a really good run of form. I can’t see Jurgen risking too many changes although it is obviously a quick turnaround.

Possible line up

Alison
Trent Matip VVD Robbo
Keita Fabinho Thiago
Salah Mane Diaz

Then against Villarreal I can see a bit more rotation as we’ve a decent lead to defend and the 5 subs available

Alison
Gomez Konate VVD Kostas
Hendo Fabinho Jones
Salah Mane Jota

Can’t see Hendo not playing against Newcastle. It’s probably the last game he’d want to miss.

I think we’ll need our best players on the pitch today. Of the games we’ve got left this is one where we could slip up. They’re in good form and have got plenty of pace. If they time their runs right it could be a test of the defensive line.

I am more concerned about this one than Villareal. We’ve got a 2 goal lead in that one and even with a rotated team we should cruise through. Go strong today, get the 3 points then hope Leeds can make City sweat tonight.

Hendo came off early so possibly he starts and Fabinho or Thiago gets a breather. Difficult leaving either of those 2 out though

The Barcodes have had a whole week to plan for this game, and their next game is another full week later. They’re one of the form terams since the start of the year as well.

I’d like Konate to start this game, due to the pace and dribbling ability of Saint-Maximin. But maybe Klopp will go for Joe Gomez for that, with Trent having a little breather.

I expect them to have worked on Saint-Maximin and Jacob Murphy to provide the pace and run directly in their few chances with the ball, with their centre forward (probably Joelinton in the role) to either bring them into play, or imo play the stand offside thing to distract our back line, and enable the wide players to run in from an onside position.

The Villareal game, we worked super hard with the press. Can we continue that yet again?

Even it’s 0-0 after 60 mins, we shouldn’t panic. Hit them in the final 20 minutes is fine.

Absolutely, like asking Gerrard to sit out the Merseyside Derby.

Interesting, no last minute Origi here, no Minamino nor Firmino. Salah our only forward on the bench…

Meanwhile, loads of midfielders.

Trent, Thiago, Fab and Mo on bench.

Klopp priorizing players health instead of winning titles.

FSG OUT!!!

Really not sure about that line-up. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I don’t like Hendo and Milner in the same midfield, but what do I know  In Jurgen we trust!
