Leipzig won’t be able to get back into Germany if the current restriction continue.

holy fuck man, it’s just a speedbump. we were on an unprecedented run and the boys ran out of gas, accumulation of injuries. just manage expectations accordingly and support the lads through thick and thin.
We had a marvelous 3 years of domination. our level was bound to drop for a bit.

I do wish we would do something different, as even with the injuries we have better players than the results we’ve been getting.
This is partly because we’re sticking to a system that won’t work consistently given the available players.
You don’t stick with 433 that relies so heavily on full back assists and a false 9 linking up, if the centre backs and DM are not the level to deploy it and the false 9 cant link up.
I wish we’d try 442 diamond, 343, or 352.
Anyway here’s hoping for a positive result, as it’d be nice to get to the latter stages.

This is the most important game of the season, well at least it will be until the next one. It’s an absolutely must win game.
I must admit to having some trepidation about opening my pre-match epistle with this somewhat hackneyed passage, seeing how it has let us down so badly in the recent past. I don’t wish to undermine the boss and the boys, but I thought one may as well run through the roster just to keep the record straight, so to speak, and I do believe that our fortunes will change for the better, sooner, rather than later. And it might as well be tonight in fair Budapest upon the banks of the Danube.
Speaking of that riparian city, it’s been the best part of three decades since Boudica and I last enjoyed the fleshpots of Budapest. And the best of its pots of flesh I reckon are to be found in Pest, on the east bank of the Danube, at Hungary’s finest restaurant, Gundel.
Now you may consider this mention of the dining halls of Budapest to be disloyal, if not outright flippant on such a night as tonight. The Mem certainly did. She turned with a start, much as the Lady of Shalott must have turned when the curse came upon her, and sat looking at me with eyes protruding in the manner popularized by snails, looking like something stuffed by a taxidermist who had learned his job from a correspondence course and had only got as far as lesson three.
Coldly, she advised that she would willingly become one of those fiends with hatchet who seem to spend their time slaying their nearest and dearest.
You don’t find the old feudal spirit nowadays.
Rueful but resigned, with some of the feelings of Moses gazing at the Promised Land from the summit of Mount Pisgah, I end my missive with hope in my heart and the habitual refrain:
