I’m sure you’re waiting for this…
I’m very much in the camp of “somebody’s going to take a kicking” and I’m more than happy for it to be Brentford.
Cody for me all day long. A much more intelligent player who doesn’t just work hard he Can actually put in a défensif shift (others have mentionned that Brentford have some tricks down the wings). As you mentionned his form is great at the moment firing some great goals in that have helped us a lot.
Our last ten games: WDWWWWDLWD. Need to end that rough-patch. Come on Reds, raise hell.
I cant shake being critical of Trent at the moment.
Not lost on me that Forest scored down our right channel last night and how easily he was beaten on occasion. His positioning doesnt help.
I know this is nothing new, but and we’ve all accepted it but its actually starting to grate with me now.
He was also our best chance of creating a goal. E.g. the incredible pass to Diaz that should have resulted in a goal had he not ballsed up the simple pass to Gakpo
If we’re serious about winning this title we have to win this one, simple as that. Arsenal playing Villa at 5.30 is a completely different game if we’ve dropped more points opposed to what it will be if we’ve won.
It seems like we’re saying it every game now - we need to defend better, we need to be clinical in attack, we need to stop allowing the opposition back into games, we need to manage the game better if we’re ahead - and yet the same old frailties and mistakes rear their heads every game, West Ham away the only exception.
We’re the best team in this league by a fucking mile but if we slip up on Saturday and a shit Arsenal team narrow the gap further then I’ll seriously doubt we have the conviction and mentality to win the title. We have to fucking win this one.
On the whole our defending is good but we lose concentration at key moments, we seem to be lacking the mentality of our title winning team
I think there’s no question that this season is absolutely ours for the taking. Everybody else is screwing up, shitting the bed and in City’s case, inexplicably crap. The fact that Forest are doing so well speaks volumes. We just need to do the taking and this must start here. Win this (and our GIH) and we have enough of a cushion to absorb a small fall or two which absolutely will happen. Step on, step up and grasp the glory that the dignity and talent of this team and manager deserve.
Oh and laugh at United tonight
I dont disagree, i’m just finding myself increasingly hoping it would come with a but more positional discipline.
We seem to go through phases of where it works and others where we’re wide open down our right side.
Yeah, have no idea why he went outside of the foot in that situation. And a tiny bit of second too late. Adjust/open up your body just a little bit and pass it normally to Gakpo, huge goalscoring chance.
I think we’re just going to have to accept that Trent is high risk/high reward. And if he leaves then Bradley or anyone else will be lower risk/lower reward
There’s been average of 4.5 goals per Brentford league home games so far this season.
And an average of 4 goals per Liverpool away games.
Could be an absolute circus.
As long as we’re the ring masters. Although the circus only ever goes on with the permission of the clowns. Pass the face paint and big red shoes.
0-0 nailed on.
Come on, be a ray of sunshine, 0-15!!
I’m wondering about leaving the forum as it worked last time we won the title. As long as I can reset my password this time.
Take @jabu @Iftikhar @TheSweetSilverSong with you!
To be fair I have felt about lowering my net browsing for a while it’s mostly getting me down even more so than most of my reading material currently which is set in 30s Germany.
