Prematch | Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur | PL Matchday 30 | Sunday 15/03/2026 - 16:30 GMT

They are an absolute shambles. If we don’t win this, and win it well, I’m done for the season.

His prognosis as far as I remember was always mid to late April.

I don’t think it has.

We’re at home for a start, and while we haven’t been pulling up any trees at Anfield I think that has to count for something.
Wolves were coming off the back of 2 very good results and have been competitive by and large. Spurs haven’t, they are getting twatted everywhere and shipping 3-5 goals a game.
Factor in half their squad is missing while Wolves were more or less full strength and there are some major differences.
That’s not to say we can’t fuck it up but I’ll be astonished if we don’t beat these.

I can’t figure out what this figure of 1500 represents?

It was one of the journalists that brought the stat up and, in fairness, I thought Slot was fairly dismissive of the significance.

There are usually a lot of inane questions at these press conferences. The injury situation is of interest, but he won’t give away tactics and certainly won’t discuss contracts and the like. That leaves rather leading questions with blindingly obvious answers about the last result, and a discussion about the weather in Budapest. I’m assuming that Arne is obliged not to give monosyllabic answers.

It’s the number of league games Liverpool have won at Anfield since 1893. It’s a really pointless statistic.

Slot said late March to early April about a month ago. Potter was hopeful he could play for Sweden at the end of March.

Obviously, we’re still not quite at that date, but I’m not sure how much time he’ll need training with the team before Arne will deem him fit to play.

He’s not gonna be any fucking use til next year. Just look how long it took him to get upto speed before the injury , if he even did really.

Horrible.

I just hope this kit doesn’t join my list of shirts I cannot stand because of the awful play when we wore them. I already have a dislike for that bluey ‘sea green’.

WTF? We are at home?

Hopefully the colour doesn’t match the performance.

Why is it a limited-edition anyway? To signify how awful it looks? What do the Reds have to do with black?

Would make sense if it is Slots last game.

Purely a garment sales thing

I was being sarcastic.

I’ve pointed out several times here that this is a fake account that should be on everyone’s block list by now. The source cited usually leads nowhere.

:face_with_spiral_eyes:

So, once again, a reminder to everyone to block this account. (Anfield XYZ)

That was a while ago… still funny though … :joy:

It was already obvious why we should win this one before a ball was kicked today.
But with Chelsea losing and Villa playing Man U tomorrow we can go 4th with a win.
No more incentive is needed. It’s all in our hands. Anything less than a win tomorrow is unacceptable.

Agreed.
In some ways Spurs are the wrong match at the wrong time.
We should batter them, we should beat Gala midweek…
But its papering over the cracks if we’re honest. Going fourth in the PL is what we require right now. But the rest of the season isn’t going to be as easy.

We need reality, not fantasy. Beating Spurs should be handy, but it doesn’t make us any better than the last few weeks. We beat Spurs, thats a step. We need to build on the step, and we haven’t shown capability in doing that this season.

I think what we have to show tomorrow is that Wolves was the aberration in the midst of a decent run. Forget Galatasaray. It’s half time in that one, anyone can get beat at their place and next week we’ll show them what a proper atmosphere that isn’t piped over the fucking loudspeakers is like. But Wolves only gets to be ‘one of them’ if it’s sandwiched between two runs of good results.
