Rumours of a £35m bid from us (from Sacha Taavolieri) - so assume we end up somewhere like £38-40 plus some add ons.
Green light close, but nothing done yet.
How to be authoritatively vague.
Concerning that this seems to coincide with news Chelsea and Brighton are at an impasse with Caicedo.
Are we getting our arses in gear because Fabinho is now all done and he’s rumoured to be on a flight out to SA today or is it because Chelsea are moving for Lavia as an alternative to Caicedo?
The worst kind of ITK - if we are banning Dave OKP or whatever, this guy shouldn’t be near the forum with his fabricated twitter.
Yes that is a source I have faith in …

LFC, other gossip I hear
My two cents incoming… For what it’s worth, this guy is the only ITK (if I can call him that) that I follow and I have been following him for years. At some point, he was giving out rather cryptic clues about the identity of players we were in discussions to sign (Tsimikas is one example that I remember) and they checked out in the end, so there’s that…
I’ve never seen him do anything to jeopardise the club, like give out the teamsheets before the games and stuff, I’ve never seen him promote himself or his account, but he’s been tweeting infrequently over the years. He’s a rather arrogant and abrasive chap, though, but I like the way he calls out and exposes people like DaveOCKOP for frauds that they are.
This is what I expect as well - I would be OK with that. I’m just a bit confused as to why it took so long to start the discussions with Southampton. Maybe it had something to do with Fabinho’s and/or Henderson’s exits, available funds etc.? It would be a proper Chelsea thing to jump from Caicedo to Lavia, though.
Pretty obvious we have been waiting to see what happens with JH and Fab.
I said last week - if Hendo and Fab werent going anywhere our transfer business was done. I honestly believe that. Its like we have to see the Hendo and Fab money in our account before we spend again.
Now we need more as 2 are leaving & 2 have only just started training and it leaves us woefully short…again
It would be 1 player for 2 older part-timers.
It was to see whether the move actually happened. Not as much as to do with funds. Imagine if Lavia transfer happened across and we would have a situation where the transfer of Fabinho didn’t go across.
Would love him here. Of all the players linked to us i like him apart from Caicedo who is like 100 million pounds. Young and Strong with pace and an eye for a pass - Klopp will transform him.
Lavia for £35-£40 feels like a decent deal in this market. Provides a different option to what we have, already a good player and has loads of potential. I guess I’d prefer a more certain bet, but this kid does look good.
One player to replace Fabinho and Henderson isn’t enough. Neither are part-timers. Last season they were comfortably our most played centre mids amassing more than 4,700 minutes between them.
Arguably we’ve needed an alternative option to Fabinho for some time anyway so with him going we’re really short in that area and we can not do that to ourselves again.
I suspect we do want to see the money first. If they renege and don’t pay then how do we get that cash?
Isn’t it more like Mac Allister and Szoboszlai replaced Henderson and Fabinho. Lavia (or whoever comes in) would he replacing Keita and Ox who managed about 4 minutes last season.
Bargain, it feels like we should be paying a million times that!
Yep, basically we still need to cover the minutes of Keita, Ox and Milner.
Although there will be a step up in minutes from Jones and Bajectic you feel.
We need 1 more in Mid and 1 in Def you feel, 2 in Mid if Thiago also moved on.
It shouldn’t be to difficult to cover Keita’s minutes.
I can cover Keita’s minutes
