One of the main things I like about this transfer is that we lost a heck of a lot of leadership with Salah and Robertson gone so signing the captain of one of the biggest clubs on the planet helps to try rectify that, as well as plugging a major hole in our squad.

I think that if he works hard and does well enough for our supporters to lift his spirits up and Nunez must have extoled their ability to push him to new heights. He might even lighten the load on Virgil hence not displacing the up and coming youngsters.

I’m 100% sure that he wasn’t briefed by the club to write this. What interest would there be, for the club or the player? It’s totally counter-intuitive to give out such a thing in the public.
That’s why I tend to think that he wrote this without being briefed by anyone. If there is any link between the club and Joyce though, Hughes et all must be pretty annoyed at him because of this.

So, they’ve already started following each other on Instagram, and Natalia Becker is already looking after Araujo’s wife and family; for years, she has been the one who welcomes and supports the players’ wives and families. It surely won’t be long now before the announcement—though I’m not expecting anything major, since it’s just a loan deal.
