Happy with Araujo, good player. Stays fit and it give us a chance to ease in our younger guys.

Well heās not Jules Kounde. But as a loan deal with an option to buy Araujo should be significantly cheaper. Heās an experienced center back at age 27 with good size at 6ā3. As long as heās fit, Araujo could definitely help us.

That was my first thought, But it is Barca so ridiculous wages are pretty standard for them.

I think this is a sound signing with one obvious caveat. Heās not homegrown. We really could do with moving on some of our non HG contingent that are not core members.

What pleases me most of all is that it shows we are indeed working hard behind the scenes on the necessary reinforcements, without a single peep leaking to the public. This deal came completely out of the blue, much like the MuƱoz one. I love that.

And even those arenāt being done in full sight. Think thatās the issue here, some clubs seem to basically release an entire deal breakdown we donāt.
Anyhow Sky werenāt particularly great with that āno plansā for defensive back up.
And it isnāt a priority and they end up being the very next signing.

People want him to be a leader at Barca, which maybe isnāt really him. He will be fine under big brother VVD and Alisson. Itās not really the first time VVD has played next to an sloppy partner. All the raw tools are still there.
