I think it was definitely more in his court to have got the fight made, but he was understandably trying to manage his career in a way that maximized his US appeal. As good a fight as it would have been, the US tends to look down on fights between 2 british fighters and would have probably set him back on that path he was trying to tread for what was always going to be a damn hard fight.
The WBC has ordered Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte to start negotiations for a mandatory WBC heavyweight title fight which would mean that Oleksandr Usyk presses ahead with a rematch against Anthony Joshua
I don’t think that bodes well for Joshua. Reckon he might lose again and that huge money fight with Fury ends up never happening.
Fury will swat aside Whyte with ease.
Probably, Joshua might never get to fight him.
I know Joshua is unlikely to beat him but I truly hope someone knocks Fury out.
Eubank Williams later? Anyone watching?
Khan Brook this weekend.
Anyoneeee watching???
Yeah, really happy for Brook.
Gave Khan a good beating. I think Adam Smith made a remark in the open session that Khan’s body simply doesn’t look like it should anymore. There’s lean and hungry and then there’s… simply someone past it slowly.
I got the impression that most people wanted Brook to win (or better to say, not to lose, question how he’d cope with that…).
For anyone who has watched his career it’s really difficult to not find Brook a sympathetic character. In many ways though his career has been more similar to Khan’s than most Khan’s critics would like to admit. They both lost big fights they had the talent to compete in after getting let down by their body. For someone reason we treat getting let down by a dodgy chin as less sympathetic than the sort of face/eye issues that saw Brook lose his.
Confirmed: Fury v Whyte on April 23rd at Wembley.
It won’t happen but I want to see Fury knocked out in the first round.
Whyte won’t be able for him.
Just saw that there was a PPV fight with a guy called Deji. I assumed he was a young fighter but it turns out he is the brother of a famous YouTuber and was fighting another YouTuber. Is boxing dead?
Anyone watching Fury Whyte tonight? Let me know if you’re buying the PPV or streaming? (In which case please share)
Will be watching. Think it’s on Free TV in Germany.
Who do you want to win?
I don’t mind either guy, but I’m all for seeing an upset.
The only fight where I would support Fury would be a mismatch with Conor McGregor
Hopefully Whyte knocks the shit out of him.
Fury is alright really, he’s calmed down a lot of the years and if you watch his interview with Neville you’ll have a different opinion of him.
Whyte for KO is a big ask but he is only coming into this fight 6-7 pounds lighter than Fury.
