All out for 539, 14 runs behind.

Could have been worse.

NZ have plenty of time to put up a big score though.

It could be a good couple of days left of cricket. NZ will need to make a positive start if they are to create a big enough lead with enough time left in the game to bowl England out again. This will give England opportunities, particularly as it’s a bit more bowler friendly now. It will be interesting to see how long NZ stay positive for if they lose some early wickets.

OH, JIMMY, JIMMY…

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Anderson

650 wickets

Leach is fucking terrible. Parkinson should be player, he’s the future.

I assume only the selectors know why he is still first choice.

Well Moin has just come back from his short retirement too

Moeen is average too. No point looking backwards.

But but but he can bat! English cricket’s mindset.

This match is turning into a classic

20 mins attacking here could be all the difference.

I think if NZ’s 2nd innings ends right now it’s very evenly poised.

Any longer and NZ won’t have the time to take 10 wickets and England are not going to want to go for the runs.

Don’t think this England team can bat it out. They’ll go for the win or die trying.

That’s this afternoon’s work plan gone to pot. Be over by 4

Ok, 299 to win. 70-75 overs left in the day?

We’ll go for this initially. See if we can get to 100 for less than 2 wickets down leaving 200 from around 45-50 overs?

Funny isn’t it. On this pitch in these conditions, a one day match would be about 350 par.

12 off the first 4 balls :eyes:

Easy peasy

The Lords’ groundsperson needs to come and have a chat with Trent Bridge’s as to how to prepare a Test pitch.
