Made him the cricketer he is?

Forged in the fire! You have to experience tough times to become who he has become!

Back to this they all seem really nice guys which makes it easier to enjoy.

I remember the England football team in the 00s, I wouldn’t invite one of them around for tea.

Anyhow I called this tournament from the rain to everything else completely wrong. I hope Sky are calling me soon or do they just appoint dickheads on football.

I know but it hurts that the lad has to live with that moment, he doesn’t deserve it

For Stokes it’s how you respond and he has success now, unless you talk about Gerrard.

Crazy that it was Henderson’s suspension in my view that did that, maybe it was planned so he could be the captain in 2020 to win it for the first time in 30 years

One of the many many things I love about cricket (aside from India Pakistan games) all the fans sit together, applaud good shots and good play and have a great time together. Sport as it should be played and watched. Football fans should take note.

Loving the photos with the kiddos

Freddie “You’ll never celebrate harder than us after a massive win”
Stokes “Hold my beer and pass the champagne”

“You like taking it deep don’t you”

Ben “Careful”

Priceless.

Sky commentator to Stokes: “You like taking it deep don’t you!”

Stokes: “Erm…”

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Congratulations England for winning the T20 World Cup, Ben Stokes what a player!!
I thought was a great game.

It’s been a really good tournament despite the rain. It’s a shame we never saw England v Australia, but there were some great matches in there. It was nice to see a couple of surprises from the lesser teams. Success on the world stage can only encourage the growth of the game in those countries.
I’ve always been a T20 sceptic, and find Test cricket much more fascinating and satisfying, but I appreciate the skills and tactics that go into success in this format.
Thank God the weather forecast was wrong for the final!

Test cricket is sport’s zenith. T20 is just the microwave dinner alternative to a 10 course banquet.

I think your being a bit harsh on microwave meals there mate.

I would say T20 is more on par with stale bread and water

Yeah Marks do some excellent Microwave meals

Personally I can see OD die of death, I was watching it yesterday thinking where does it really sit and I’m not sure it’s place is secure.

The thing with the OD is that it’s the format that most recreational players play (well, similar) It’s the grass roots game that we all start on. Can’t see it being scrapped.

True, hadn’t thought that it just seems one has to give and I don’t see it being Test, was a time I felt it was.

Cricketers watch tests but play OD games. I like playing the Last Man Stands format. Great on summer nights.

England might be the first team to score 1000 runs in a day at this rate.
