The curator for the Rawalpindi ground should be sacked. He has ruined the best format of cricket with the worst flat track pitch I have ever seen.
Now that I have said that I hope thr pitch doesn’t crumble starting day 3.

Horrid test match wicket this. I’d rather watch matches on indian wickets over this meaningless stat boosting excercise
Even on the absolute road the that it is, the strike rates of the English batsmen is incredibly impressive. Three hundreds over a run a ball and the other only three balls off it. Unlike Australia and India, these English batsmen don’t get the chance to boost their averages on flat pitches in home conditions so hopefully Brook at least goes on to get a big daddy hundred.
England have still managed to get 24-3 on pitches like this.
Indian wickets of late have been very bowler friendly. No more the roads of old

Only two tests left this year 
It isn’t as if the English batsmen really went hell bent for leather on this. The bowling was dire today reinforcing the lack of depth in pak cricket as well. Without Shaheen ,they are in trouble.
You can’t expect to be a consistent force in test cricket with only 3-4 proper cricketers and the rest all fillers.

The real indication of how flat this wicket is that Crawley who I don’t rate as a batsman at all gets a big un at close to run a ball.
Maybe it’s cause he always turns up against Pakistan. But whatever
